Answer:
Susan,
The dark colored glass tile is a dark chocolate brown. The other glass tile colors I would describe as khaki and then a lighter cream (almost like cream soda) color. The stone is a nice mix of slate with some being bluish-gray, a few rust colored pieces and then a white/cream colored marble.

Answer:
Hi Susan,
The darkest color is a chocolate brown glass. This mosaic tile also features natural stone with grey, reddish, and rust tones, a cream colored stone, and two tones of beige colored glass.
Hope that helps!

Sanded or unsanded grout?

This question is from Tessera Piano Nassau 11-5/8 in. x 11-3/4 in. x 8 mm Glass and Stone Mosaic Tile

The product specifications say the recommended gap is 1/8 of an inch, which is also generally the cutoff point/gap size to determine what type of grout to use. If this is on the cusp does that mean I could use either kind? I'm not worried about the sand scratching the tiles.

Answer:
Good Afternoon,
Because this tile is glass, we would recommend using unsanded grout that you install with plastic tools. Unsanded grout will help prevent scratching and damaging the glass surface. When cleaning this tile, be sure to use a new sponge and clean bucket. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

I don't understand why they make this tile in uneven edges... Why not make them in squares? I imagine this type of tile must be a nightmare to try and cut the edges when putting it up against the wall. Or am I missing something here?

Good Morning,
Piano mosaics are set up with staggered edges because of the style of the tile. If you are looking to get a straight edge, you can cut these with a dry cutter or a wet saw. A tile nipper is another option, but that is most likely to cause breakage. Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Tile This tile is beautiful. There is waste due to the way the tile is put together (that's okay), but you know this when you buy the tile. It even looks great before you grout it. I wish I had more places to tile, as I love this tile. I wish Home Depot carried it in the stores because shipping charges could be expensive and it's a wait for it to come from the east coast (when you live on the west coast). July 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good looking tile!!! Didn't use much for the space we neded to tiled, but was really easy to cut with tile wet saw and easy to install. Overall great tile. February 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality tile We used the tile as an accent strip between the new porcelain tile (your product) in our new shower. It was easy to cut the backer mesh and then apply to the cement board (also your product) using thinset (also your product). Using ready mixed "Fusion Pro" grout (also your product) it was quick and easy to finish the job. Overall, from purchase to completion it was a very good experience. The staff at the Durango, CO, store were very knowledgeable and helpful. I will be back for my next project which is a sliding glass door for the shower. July 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fast shipping. Great product. Awesome color. Very happy. Here's a before and after pic. These are oak cabinets I got from Home Depot and stained them myself. Tooks a few years to decide to add backsplash but wow. I'm beyond happy now. Great color. Adds so much to my kitchen. I'm a DIY and this took me 2 days to tile. I purchased 25 sheet's which came fast. NO tile's were broken so thank you. I was going against drywall so I just used that adhesive sticker sheet they sell instead of mortar. Bought 30 sq ft on a roll and it was real easy to put up. Cut the tile and laid it all on the wall. Grouted and bam there you go. I also design the pot holders to the left, Home Depot material. very easy and looks great. any questions please ask. April 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brings life to a kitchen! Loved how this backsplash turned out. It went perfectly with our medium-brown IKEA cabinets and speckled gray/brown/tan granite countertops. I love how the tile pieces all have variations. It looks even better with grout (we used Bone #382), since the grout fall into some of the stone tiles' crevices, highlighting interesting details in the stone. May 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful tile, but a couple caveats Pros: Beautiful tile Moderate cost Comes in a mesh for ease of install Cons: Glass tile hard to cut horizontally - the paper backing comes off which ruins the look. Cut vertically only, then piece in the stones for any half height tiles. Slate can shatter if you are trying to cut just a tiny piece off the end. Slate absorbs grout, which affects the color. I liked the change, but be aware of this ahead of time. October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL I had granite countertop installed December 2013. I hadn't planned on putting tile up, but after the old countertop was removed, it left the walls somewhat messed up. It was the best decision I ever made! I thought the countertops were nice when they were first installed, but the tiles are what made it really stand out. I couldn't be happier with the decision. Everyone loves how it looks.
