Can this product be used over a 2X6 fascia board?

I am building a shed that is roughly 8ft X 8ft and has a ~7" overhang with a 2X6 for eve fascias. I have decided to use a metal roof and am wondering if this product can be used over a 2X6 fascia, as according to the dimensions in the picture, this product is just over 4" long on the flat part that faces outward, meaning it would only over a 2X4. Is this true? And if so, is there an eve fascia piece that looks the same and will fit a 2X6 soffit? Thanks.

My roof design butts against a wall on one side, is there a flashing provided with this product. Also do the screws come with the roof material. I did not see the screws as a separate item to order.
Thank you, Rich

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Size is fine for a house, not for a DIY shed roof The size is perfect for 8" soffit (which may be typical on a house) it is way too big for a typical DIY shed. HOWEVER ... this trim has 2 bends in it which allows you to cut it lengthwise and "create 2 smaller full length pieces of trim. one half can be used as a properly scaled eave trim molding, and the other as a properly scaled gable trim. From that perspective, this trim is very good for a woodshed "scale" project. February 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Product I ordered 7 pieces for my Hip roof gazebo 4 of which have the defect in the picture. Each piece was different on the bends. 4" to 3.5" alignment was almost impossible. It had bends and creases as if it went through the machine on an angle. The company US Metalsales was a wide range of trim profiles but none of them are available through Home Depot. I had to purchase Hip / eve molding though another distributor which has become a nightmare. Good price but very poorly manufactured product. October 25, 2015
