Yes, the end frames stack onto each other with the included coupling pins and the cross braces fit slide out of the lock pins. No tools required. Storage is compact with end frames nesting onto one another because of our SaferStack design.

If I wanted to buy three of these to stack, one set on top of the other, would that be a supported configuration? Is a three-level stack within the safety limitations for this product?

There is no way this will hold 9,000 lbs. That's over FOUR tons!! The walkboards that can be bought for a unit such as this hold about 500 lbs each, and you use 3 of them to cover this unit.

Steve,
I see no reason why a person could not safely have a 3 section stack-up. Take a look at the assembly instructions included on the HD site for this product. The weight limit is over 9,000 lbs so unlikely you would exceed that. Of more importance is the bullet points on the right hand side of the instructions (about half way down). A three level stack is acceptable for a rolling set-up. Even higher setups are acceptable for stationary setups if attached to a stationary object (the building usually).
Follow the guidelines and you should be fine. I always like to attach to the building whenever I am over 10'. On a rolling setup I would also invest in some outriggers for anything over 10'. Make sure you have a solid bearing surface, all things are level, error on the side of caution and be careful. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth it ! Had to get some scaffolding for a garden shed I am building for the wife. Would've been pretty difficult with out it. Looked all around for used stuff but didn't like the price of them . So I found this scaffolding here at Home Depot and decided to order it and pick it up at the store. My wife says it is one of the better things I have purchased from you . I'm sending a picture of it in use. Don't recommend using it like I am if you don't know what you're doing . All my materials I have used on this job were purchased at the Home Depot . You can also see one of my more recent purchases the Porter Cable nail gun. Boy has that saved my elbow ! And then there is my Dewalt impact and clamps which I also purchased at the Home Depot . My wife is very happy about her new garden shed . Thanks Home Depot . August 24, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MetalTechna 5 x 7 scaffolding Metaltechna components are made in China. Holes missing in the cross rails and when there are holes there are off center and don't line up with the pins. The company is non responsive to telephone calls. Once they have you money your on your own. I learned the hard way. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lightweight easy to set So, I have to say compared to traditional six x five by sevens, this is significantly easier to set up as a single also much easier to haul around October 11, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor manufacturing process pipe seams huge and gnarly on the inside of the uprights would not allow connectors to install properly. also their manufacturing process is so bad many of the lock holes weren't punched and the ones that were punched distorted the uprights so badly that, again, the connectors would not install or lock properly. I spent 4 hours using a die grinder and drill in order to get 4 sections assembled. aside from that, they seem sturdy and they do fit together with my old scaffolding. i did notify the foreign manufacturer for what good it will do. August 17, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Solid design, poor manufacturing execution. The scaffolding, once erect, makes a very stable and strong elevated work platform. I think the design is very good. However, the manufacturer did not employ adequate quality control during the manufacturing of the parts. A great deal of filing and deburring had to be done before the stacking pins could be inserted into the frame tubing to enable stacking of frame units to achieve the desired elevation. What should have been a 45 minute assembly of 6 sets(working alone) into a 30' tower took closer to 7 hours due to the time required to file the parts so that the pins could be inserted into the tubing. It appears that the holes in the frame for the spring loaded pin retention nubs were die pierced with a dull punch causing burrs so extensive that the stacking pins could not be inserted into the tubing. I had to use a half round file to debur the inside of the frame tubing. Since I performed the QC and rework that the manufacturer should have done it would be fair that I be compensated by them. How likely ? August 30, 2016
