Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Keepingmycool68 Has a unique design.
Only disappointment was that it does still need to be drained. I understood from the sales description, that it wouldn't. Good part is that if you do it often (1x a day when humid, at least so far), drainage will fit in a small aluminum container (about an inch high). The venting hose was a bear to put on too. Almost gave up b4 getting it all together. Like the design of it & although I haven't had to use it much yet, seemed to do a good job of cooling my bedroom, which has Western exposure. Overall seems good for the price. Easily programmable & wouldn't call it excessively noisy. If I don't have anymore trouble with the venting unit, I'd give it 4 1/2 stars.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sujay Good Unit - little noisy but works well
Like others mentioned, the vent slot required a bit of adjusting with other materials. Not all windows are the same.
I bought the unit originally 2 years ago when the central air broke in my town home and used it to cool my bedroom during the summer which worked great.
Since then my wife and I moved into a 2 story home with Central Air and we use it in the 2nd floor master bedroom at night. This allows us to keep the central air down saving money and cools our bedroom perfectly.
Recently I've had a yellow film on the floor around the unit, I'm not exactly sure what this is yet and have not seen any other reviews discussing this. I also see the yellow coating on the white towel I have in between the window and vent to provide additional insulation.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mariam This product is too noisy and is really not stand alone air conditioner
I surprised my daughter who is another city living in a rooming house which has no air conditioner. I was so pleased to be able to send her this as a gift so she could use now and where ever she moves to in the future. Well, she told me that the air conditioner was a piece of junk! It is made of cheap plastic, it is bulky, make LOTS of noise, and it is not an stand alone air conditioner. Rather, it has hose to take the hot air our through a window and has another hose to remove water!!!!

I bought this nice unit about a week ago,and so far it has been wonderful. I live in the Mojave Desert and even in Aug/Sept. is can get vary VARY hot, so after years of suffering when they shut down my swamp cooler for winter (even when its still 90 Deg. outside) I decided its time to get a room A/C...woot. As I said I have only had it for a week but it has keep my room and most of the Apt. (when I leave the bedroom door open) at 75....I run it on Auto and it runs in fan mode most of the time, the A/C kicks in about every 20-45 min. but all and all this is a wonderful little unit. The only problem I had was with the window vent.....its a little narrow so the hose adapter sicks out a little far and I had to use some cardboard to fix it but other then that I would recommend this to all my friends.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Diana Powerful, but loud; Very short hose.
Surprised at more powerful cooling than I need to reduce bedroom temp by 10 degrees or so, in about 15 minutes. I am very happy, but it's not for you if you are a light sleeper. After a month of use, it is handling the water without a need to empty, in a medium humidity location. HOWEVER, be prepared to add an extension to the hose. My window is 4' from the floor and the hose is too short to make it. I got a great sale price and free shipping, so it was worth some inconvenience.

This product is trying it's hardest to keep up with the heat in my 2nd floor room (windows on three sides so the sun really bakes it all day). It is a bit noisy. I have to use headphones to hear videos on the computer if the unit is working. The exhaust tube is a bit hard to install and if you touch it even the slightest it will fall out. Overall this is a good unit, I think we were just asking a lot of it with all the sun the room gets.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by StacieSays Piece of garbage
I just set up this unit last night and it already is showing me that it's a waste of time and money. Setting it up was a pain. The giant tube has to be screwed into two different plastic things, which is a hassle to do. Window piece did not fit my window, so I had to add a lot of duct tape and foam. It gets very hot and I felt like more warm air was being blown around instead of cold air. I bought a new unit, because this one is going in the garbage.

Sorry, but ad did not make clear to me, venting out a window was still going to be needed. Thought I could
roll it to room , another room etc....... also, sets low to
floor, too heavy to lift up onto something, and what would you put it on, if yu want the air to go higher in the room...
output nice, but .................... lots of money , taking up room, and I could have put in window unit for a lot less money.
