Do you need this on a typical chain link fence with tube posts?
Asked by: Allison
Allison, I would recommend getting this for a chain link. You have the hydraulic arm that opens your gate right and at the end of that arm (the part that extends out) it has a bracket that you need to bolt to your gate. Problem, or reason you should get this, is that chain link isn't very sturdy in the middle of the section so you would get a ton of play in the fence gate as it tried to open. You would also need to modify the bracket so that it could clamp the chain link so if you just got this, they are like 2' long and that would enable you to secure the bracket to this bracket that covers more chain link and this making your gate more rigid when opening/closing. I hope that helps!
