Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by TheRealNorthernCA Great Price, This is a LIGHT duty gate opener, used on my 12' tubular gate, WITH a Security Flaw
I wish it had a METAL rear mounting bracket instead of the Plastic housing mount, My concern is the life expectancy with extreme hot dry summers, and freezing winters.
I ended up replacing the door bell style exit button for another (optional) wireless keypad like I purchased for the entry.
I am using a 7 year old Deep Cycle Marine battery, with as many as 10 cycles a day on the opener, and overcast to no sun on the (Optional) solar panel during the last two weeks, the battery still has a 13.46v charge on it, so you could easily use the suggested (optional) lawn tractor battery with no worries I would think.
Optional two button remote does not seem to have the transmitter range of the original one button.
Security Flaw: The program feature for additional remotes is a VERY unsecured Method, ANY tweeker can program a new controller without your permission, or knowledge.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0Â by beefstk Thought I had purchased wrong size opener until I read reviews with same problems
We purchased a 200 mighty mule gate opener two years ago and have had constant problems with the battery not recharging. The gate is always slow to open and fails to close or open quite frequently. Yesterday the circuit board burnt up. I thought we had purchased too small of a unit for our gate but as I read other reviews I find they too have the same problems. We loved the opener when it was working correctly but we use the gate to keep our livestock on the farm and when it malfunctions it could allow cattle and horses to get on the highway. Realizing we are not the only ones to have this problem is a big disappointment. I was about to replace this gate opener with another mighty mule but now I will consider another brand.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Preshusmeem No operating problems
Our garage has old-fashioned barn- type doors that open in the middle and swing out. The doors are connected with a lever arrangement at the top that opens both doors at the same time, but they still blew around in the wind and had to be blocked with something heavy to keep them open, so Iâve been very happy to have this opener. It was surprisingly easy to install except that I had trouble getting the open position set. The instructions are a little confusing. Otherwise it works perfectly. After six months there have been no quality or operating issues. I dropped the unit with one end mounted to a bracket. I thought sure that plastic connector would break right off, but It held with no apparent damage. What I like most about the opener is that the doors can now be opened any amount and will stay firmly in place without a chunk of concrete or cinder blocks, and no more getting in or out of the car in the rain. There are some cautionary points. Our doors are made of corrugated panels, and probably weigh no more than fifty pounds total, so the strain on the opener is not very serious. Iâm not too impressed by how well the control box seals. The opener and controls are installed inside the garage and I just left the cover off, so there are no exposure or overheating issues for us, but I donât know how it would do in extreme weather. As far as getting the job done for us, I give it four stars, and I could not even come close to a better price.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Nasty I like it.
What a pleasure it is not to have to go out and open and close the gate manually, especially in the rain! Installation was easy and the directions are well written. My only wish is that it would swing open and closed faster but that is a very minor thing.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by Jimmy Two failures
I have two gates going into my property and bought two of these. BOTH failed just over a year. On one the cheap plastic housing broke on the arm rendering it useless. The other had a motor failure. They refused warranty on both. Big waste of over $400 for the two. DO NOT BUY!!! You will regret it.
