This product exceeded my expectations in every category. I've never used any kind of sign-making jig and had no idea of what to expect and nothing to compare it to. This is a professional kit for professional results but an absolute amateur can step right in and do amazing work. They include a DVD so you can see how it works and how to set it up for whatever you need to do. I bought it online so I wasn't sure what was included but everything except the router is in the box. They anticipated every type of project I could think of, both letters and numbers, even vertical numbers for mailbox posts. The DVD demo shows a plunge router but my regular router works just fine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dnamh Jig is easy to use and set up. Will get profession results.
TurnLock technology lets you change metal-nose bushings fast and easy. Base plate to router became problem in adapting to Ryobi RE180-1PL router. Screws from Milescraft to small for router and router screws to big for base plate. Could get it adapted but not according to
Milescraft alignment instructions.

What a great kit. If you have a decent qualiity router, this lettering sign making kit is everything else you need to start making custom signs. Comes complete with quality router bits, low profile c clamps, 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 inch letter and number templates, necessary bushings, as well as an instructional dvd. It sets up easy and is extremely easy to use.
With very little practice you can be turning out quality signs in no time. I even picked up some nice oak from HD and made some signs for gifts. This is a great kit for beginners to advanced and includes everything you need but the router and the wood....

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SequiMike Works well - fun to use
My kit came with missing letters, but an email to the company brought a quick reply and replacement letters soon arrived in my mailbox. Setting up to make a sign is fairly easy - just arrange the letters in the jig and clamp it to the wood being engraved. In most cases, there are only two of each letter, so if your sign has, say, more than 2 A's, you will have to do it in installments. Also, a plunge router works best, although you can still work with a standard router - you just run the risk of routing the template while you're starting the cut. And, one of the first things you're going to want to do is make a long little box to hold the letters in order so you don't have to pick through them all to find the ones you need. Overall, this is a good little set that will help you make nice wooden signs for the home or shop.

Stencils were good, relatively easy to assemble and use but could be a little sturdier. The router bit occasionally travels outside the path of the letters since the letters are a plastic material and somewhat pliable. A little practice first helps to minimize the deficiency. Heavier duty, thicker plastic letters would eliminate the problem.
