what is the size of furnace demensions
Asked by: tan
The specification sheet is actually on the Home Depot web site. Down low to the right is a tab that will open up it and the installation manual. For some reason it is hard to see. However it will show the unit to be 57"H x 24 1/4"D x 18"W

My old unit that im looking to replace has a switch to choose between a/c and heat. does this one have that also?
Asked by: Robert
As i am not sure what your old furnace is I want to be careful not to say anything that is confusing. This furnace can be used in conjunction with an AC coil. Meaning you can run the blower interdependently of the burner so that it can act as an air handler and move air over an AC coil.

Why are you folks 500 dollars over on price,,,I've done heating for 31 years and used this furnace many times

Asked by: Ty
I am sorry that you find the price excessive. I also have been in the plumbing and heating industry all my life and have been asked by The Home Depot to answer technical questions, which I enjoy. Unfortunately I am not in a position to speak for them on pricing issues. However as a long time Home Depot customer I have always found them to be competitive and extremely willing to be competitive when they find out they are not. In fact most of the email I receive from trades people are complaints that The Home Depot pricing is too low and is affecting there ability to sell equipment.

What causes short cycling of blower on unit

System runs well but blower stays on for maybes only a minute is there an ajustment?
Asked by: Clinton
You don;t necessarily want your furnace to blow cold air. So they are usually designed such that the blower does not come on until the heat exchanger heats up. Some of the new furnaces utilize a timer. However most older units utilize a type of thermostat that controls the power going to the blower motor. The most common example is the Honeywell L4064B. They are adjustable. Obviously I don;t know what you have. Chris 978 651 3301
