This durable prefinished engineered click real birch floor is easy to install simply engage the long sides at an angle and press down. The flooring is crafted of five layers of solid wood permanently bonded together in a cross-ply design. No HDF or other fiber boards are utilized. The stability of this construction provides superior strength, humidity resistance, and installation options (glue-less, floating, or glue down). The aluminum oxide finish provides 10 times more abrasion resistance than ordinary urethane finishes. Our company has been manufacturing wood floors to exacting standards in Johnson City, Tennessee for over 110 years. This product is CARB Phase II Certified.

It mentions random length pieces. Is there a way to get all the length measurements?

Answer:
There is no set ratio or average of board lengths. As this is a natural wood product, shorter pieces randomly occur when unwanted characteristics are cut out during grading. Boards lengths can vary anywhere between 12" and 46 1/4". It is recommended to work out of several cartons at a time to incorporate varied lengths as you encounter them.

Answer:
An underlay pad is always required for floating floors. The distinction is that, over concrete, you must use a 6 mil vapor barrier or an underlay pad that incorporates a barrier. Over plywood, you do not need to incorporate a vapor barrier.

Hi, I am looking at putting millstead engineered "click" floors in the upper floor of my house. I also want to convert my stairs from carpet to hardwood during the project. I know flooring vendors do not make riser and star treads to match their flooring but do you sell stain that matches the Birch Cognac color flooring?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by amazing Absolutely love this flooring. easy to install and great durability. April 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by tough installation The click lock system is extremely hard to engage fully and takes some work to get the boards to lay flat. Other than that, looks great amd seems fairly durable January 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by beautiful! Do not go by the photo. This floor is a deep rich brown color, no red undertones. Not too busy grain wise. Engineered, click. Thin foam under padding recomended. No installation problems. Had it for a few weeks no scratches so far. Only con is it will show dust being a dark floor. It's beauty is an incentive to clean. November 28, 2014
