Cork flooring combines the beauty of a natural and truly renewable material with the comfort of a cushioned, warm and silent surface. It is highly sustainable since the cork oak trees are not cut. Only the outer bark is harvested, and it will grow again each 9 years. The new width plank format creates a more appealing and elegant look. Cork flooring is warm underfoot, comfortable and soft to walk on, anti-microbial, fire and moisture resistant and provides unrivalled noise reduction properties. Installation is made easy with the precision milled glueless locking system. This floor features an integrated underlayment made out of cork. Easy maintenance: simply vacuum and use a damp mop when necessary. Warm to the touch and resilient, cork floors are a great addition to your home. Ideal for all levels of installation. This floor qualifies for 4 LEED points: (1) EQ4.3 (Indoor Environmental Quality) Low Emitting, (2) MR4.1 (Materials & Resources) Recycled Content, (3) MR 6-Rapidly Renewable Materials, (4) ID 1-Innovation in Design.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid attractive flooring The flooring is attractive, easy to install and looks like it will last for years. December 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A beautiful floor, difficult to lay Overall has a nice soft hue. The medium color goes well with furnishings. The floor is warm and hides scratches. Does ot show dust and dry mops easily as there is no static charge. It is easy to cut to size. Installation is difficult. The joints do not go together easily and you cannot apply much force to the soft edges. They sell a professional tapping block and a professional pull bar to aid installation. A must have. They also sell a kit of tools which I don't recommend. The pull bar is flexible and will damage the edges of the floor piece you are installing. I also found letting the floor acclimate to the room you are installing it in helps with installation. I opened all the packages and let set 24 hours. Another trick in rubbing a piece of wax on the edges before trying to assemble. I glued some of the pieces together because of a tight installation space. June 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Can't even see the seams We purchased this cork flooring to go in our motorhome. It was the first time my husband had installed a floating floor but after some planning time and some time to see how the flooring best snapped together he put it in in about a day. It looks beautiful, feels great and doesn't show the dirt. Clean up with a dust mop. We are very happy with the look of the install. June 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love it! The floor is beautiful. I had the floor installed in my basement. My installer indicated the first few rows were very difficult to install. Per one of the videos i saw online I mopped water based polyurethane after laying the floor for extra protection and it gave the cork a slight luster that will protect against scuffs and other unforseen marks. Great choice! I would recommend this product. February 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by looks great, but you have to work for it The end result is very nice, with nearly invisible seems and good color uniformity. It doesn't go together like Legos though. As others have commented, the backing material is some kind of MDF and the click tongues are a bit fuzzy, which can make it difficult to persuade them to go together. Most of the time it's easy, but when you're in a very tight spot, or on a long run with even slight imperfections in the subfloor, it can be an epic struggle to get the seams to lock in. It can be done though - I just did a tee-shaped hallway with seven doors and a miter around a stair. That would be tricky with almost any material. The planks are extremely precise. Using a hunk of paraffin (or a cheap candle) to wax the tongues makes a big difference. I generally don't think you need special tools - once I got going, I found that I could use scraps with matching tongues to lock in where I needed to shift things a bit, with an ordinary hammer. Even where you don't need a vapor barrier, 6mil plastic under the planks makes it slide very easily, which is a plus for tricky jobs. Be aware that the surface finish is a very thin veneer over crumbled cork. It seems durable though. It's warm and quiet. I wouldn't get near water with it. August 3, 2014
