I recently installed this product and it turned out great! Very few pieces were not usable. I highly recommend this is you're wanting to add a beautiful, rich warmth to your home!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dynamic1 installed tons of it
in the past year or so I have installed literally thousands of square feet of the 3 inch and the 5 inch of this series. providing that you have allowed the material to acclimate to the space for at least 4 days prior to installation, everything goes together quite nicely.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Justin disappointed and returned.
I shopped at many stores and was instantly drawn to this flooring. However, after I ordered a full box to see how it looked in my home, I was extremely disappointed that the floor looked very different than the sample board in store. The handscraping was so regular, it gave a very manufactured, plastic-like look to the wood. It looked nothing like the board in-store, which showed lots of variation in the hand-scraping. I immediately returned the box I ordered. I recommend that you order a box for your home, and inspect it before commiting to this floor! I have to wonder if they hand-select the wood for the display boards in store-seems very misrepresentative to me.

I installed 750 sf of this floor in my living, dining and kitchen it looks fantastic. Some of the boxes arrived at the store a little trashed, a couple joints were unusable but I had plenty of flooring. I hired a contractor to do the layout and nailing, with random lengths someone needs to be out front laying out the floor. My contractor estimated 2-3 days to install, it took us 4 solid days but again the finished product is awesome. The floor went together like a dream (we used an air assist nailer). The handsraped allowed a couple small blemishes during install to be erased with ease. Great floor, couldn't be happier.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Alfred Poor quality, and lots of bad flooring
We ordered 75 boxes of this flooring and found several bad pieces in the first box. When the job was finished we ended up with 17 full cases of bad flooring. The problems were milled upside down, very poor finish, no stain on some pieces, boards wider on one end then the other, knot holes you could see thru, tongue missing, a lot of very small pieces, a lot of end or starter pieces, and a few other problems. At least the store took all the bad cases back, and refunded our money. It took about a week longer to lay this floor because of all the time inspecting the boards. I have layed several floors and this is the worst I have ever used. I will never use Millstead again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Larry Very poor quality control from manufacturer
Working with a knowledgeable builder, we selected this flooring. Ordered 11 boxes. Opened them to let them acclimate to the home temperature and humidity and lay out the floor and discovered many flaws in the product. Knots with holes clear through the board, splitting, long boards warped too badly to use and poor finishing at points. We had to go through every box and sort the boards by (1) usable, (2) potentially usable with some extra work by the installer, such as cutting off bad sections, (3) usable under counters and areas that would not be seen, and, (4) unusable - due primarily to splitting and warping. The #3 and #4 piles comprise about three of the eleven boxes. We are considering sending the whole lot back even though we really like the appearance of the wood.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charliescuba Great product
I've installed about 1250 sq ft of this product so far and couldn't be happier. I read some negative reviews about quality of milling or finish but haven't had that problem. I've ordered my wood in 3 shipments and each batch has been good. A few pieces have had slight defects in the finish or milling but probably only 10 pieces in over 60 cases. Variability in wood is good in color and grain. Hand scraping helps hide minor imperfections in installation. Finish of prefinished floor is much more durable than my custom finished floors. Easy to install. Maple is very hard wood and allowed me to really hit wood into place without damage. Prefinished product allowed me to install sections of my house without having to move out because of dust like i did during my unfinished floor installation. Couldn't be happier with product

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by simon Fantastic looking finished product!
I'm half way through a 1,000 sq. ft. install and couldn't be happier with the way this floor looks. Out of twenty five boxes, only found two pieces I didn't want to use. Dings and knicks from poor nailing (oops) are easy to blend into this slightly distressed look.
