Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DHB1313 Terrible Product - scratches VERY easily and had chips on many pieces
We were so excited to install our flooring in our living, kitchen, hallway and dining area. HUGE project in our total home renovation and the biggest let down. Flooring shows all footprints immediately after cleaning, scratches SUPER easily, and came with many chips in the floor when installing. We would NOT recommend this product to anyone - it's cheaply made and will cause much anxiety watching the simplest things scratch up your brand new floor.

I purchased the Hickory Dusk engineered hardwood for just 133 square feet of area. I really like how the flooring looks. It has a richness to it, and I've had a lot of positive comments. I would buy this product again. Now for the ease of installation, I found that many of the boards were warped but would eventually fit. However, what I discovered is that a tapping block would be helpful, but traditional blocks would not work. I created my own with a small piece of the flooring, I used one of the damaged planks and cut off a piece about 8 in in length and then cut off the receiving end (female end). Then with a couple of taps the flooring planks fit together perfectly. I used a small power miter saw, a jig saw, a laser level, tape measure, and hammer. There were about 8 damaged planks in 7 boxes. It turned out great! Now if I can install the floor, I think that most people can, I am a 63 year old, over weight female.

I shopped at many floor centers before deciding on Millstead Hickory Dusk click Engineered hardwood. It looks great in our living room, was not too difficult to install (my husband and I did a 12x16 room in one day) and since installing it a month ago we have not seen any scratches or problems. I would recommend using a tap block or pulling the boards together with a pry bar to get them to click more securely - we had to go back and un-do rows several times because of gaps before we figured that out. The boards cut very cleanly using a table saw, both across the short ends and along the length when we needed to rip the last row of boards.
We plan to use this same flooring again in a few months to put in an upstairs hallway and master bedroom.

The installation was easy; this was my first time doing it. Having a table saw, miter saw, and jig saw is recommended. The floor looks great.

I installed three rooms of the old Genesis hickory dusk click lock flooring. Loved it. Wanting to finish two last rooms, I ordered the Millstead click lock flooring, which Home Depot told me was the same thing. It isn't. It may look the same, but they have changed the click lock mechanism. After no problems installing three rooms, I cannot even get the first two rows of flooring to lay flat with this new product. If it wasn't the only thing that now matches what is in the rest of the house, I would ship back all 400 square feet. Still may have to, if I cannot get it in.
