This durable prefinished engineered real hickory floor will enhance the value of your home. The flooring is crafted of five layers of solid wood permanently bonded together in a cross-ply design. No HDF or other fiber boards are utilized. This construction provides superior strength and humidity resistance. No warping or buckling. The stability of this floor provides maximum installation options (float, staple, or glue down). The aluminum oxide finish provides 10 times more abrasion resistance than ordinary urethane finishes. Vintage floors may contain naturally occurring light and dark wood colors plus grain variations. Our flooring is proudly crafted from wood grown and responsibly harvested in the USA. Our company has been manufacturing wood floors to exacting standards in Johnson City, Tennessee for over 110 years.

Answer:
Yes, the stairnose is model #LM4696. It appears the measurement and photo used on the website are incorrect, but this is the 1/2" flushmount stairnose. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Millstead-Vintage-Hickory-Southern-Pecan-Natural-0-81-in-Thick-x-2-3-4-in-Wide-x-78-in-Length-Flush-Mount-Stair-Nose-Molding-LM4696/202808441?keyword=LM4696

Answer (1)

March 7, 2014
Answer:
No. Millstead only recommends engineered floors in Oak, American Cherry, and Walnut for use over radiant heated subfloors. Hickory is less dimensionally stable and would be likely to suffer damage (such as splitting or checking) when installed over radiant heat.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed in Millstead company Bought this flooring last year and installed it ourselves in our living room, dining room and hallway. We purchased the click and lock version. Loved the color variation in the wood and random length of boards. Decided to put it in one of our bedrooms this year. We ordered more flooring and when it came all the boards were one length. We returned it to the store telling them what the problem was and reordered more. When it came in the boards again were all one length even though it is marked "random length." The company was contacted by the store and said that's how it is made now. I emailed the company myself and was told if they have a good batch of wood then they don't cut the boards different lengths. I talked to someone who installs wood flooring and they said it sounded like the company was trying to cut corners and save themselves time and money. Because it is click and lock if we cut it ourselves we can only use the cut piece at the start of a row. Gave this a low rating on appearance and quality because of issues with the flooring recently ordered.Won't be purchasing Any flooring by Millstead in the future. August 31, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor purchase ever. Quality controls are poor. There are big variation in colors, from almost white to dark tan. Many pieces in a box have chips and splinters on the edges. Some are not square, causing installation to be harder. July 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleased with this floor,it's beautiful! We installed it in our master bath and love it. We have throw rugs in front of the tub and shower for water protection and have had no problems. We're doing the kitchen next and expect the same great results. We did have it installed. July 2, 2013
