Be sure to use some soft underlayment and buy the installation tool kit. You will need to stomp the pieces in place. Hitting them with your fist or rubber mallet isn't enough force. You will need the install tools to close joints and slide pieces under door jams. Cases have different assortment of piece sizes, so open several to get best coverage with less waste.

I am DIY. Relatively easy to install. Floor must be flat. When hammering with rober hammer one needs to find right angle of the plank to be hammered. Sometimes plank must flat, sometimes it is not necessary. My kitchen is about 110 sq. feet. It took me roughly 4 hours to assemble floor without any assistance and power circular saw. All cuts i made manually which time consuming. Only one plank out of 5 boxes was damaged but usable anyway.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SFC Easy to install real wood
This review is of the Millstead product only, not the other one HD sells under the same SKU. Excellent quality, minimal warped pieces (3 pieces in 7 boxes), minimal burs, good color matching. Nearly all pieces were 3.5 to 4 feet; a few more short ones would have been good. While not effortless, the installation is quite easy. The result is outstanding in appearance. The finish on the wood resists scratching better than others I've worked with. Since it's wood, it will dent. (If you can't stand scratches and dents, get plastic or ceramic, not wood.) Installation at odd fitting points requires planning and care. I have only one creaky point, where there was a low spot on the slab just barely within tolerance. I'm very happy with the product in all respects.

Very easy install once you get the hang of locking them together. Little bit of a trick getting the first couple of rows started. After that its a piece of cake.

I know some people complain about this product but I had no issues whatsoever. It looks great and is easy to install. For the price, you cant beat the value. As with any floor like this it can be scratched.
I have put down 3/4" hardwood (nail down), laminate, vinyl, glue down parquet and others and so far this was the easiest to do. I only had one piece which was unusable.
I wouldn't use this in a heavy traffic area unless you use a rug.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by hammer easy to install, but it dents easy if something is dropped on it. will have to wait to see how it holds up to foot traffic.
easy to install by myself, daughter dropped her I-pad on it and it left a dent. damaged the seams when tapping the boards together. Nothing that can not be fixed. not sure how snow/water will affect it. will have to wait and see.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bruno Easy to install floating floor
We looked at a lot of different flooring options and decided on an engineered hardwood floor. A floating floor isn't nailed down which was important for us because we had installed under floor radiant heat.
This product is rated for radiant heat and installation went smoothly. The finish and the color was consistent and we were able to finish this 14'x18' room in 2 days.
