Answer:
I used the 2mm foam underlayment and am very disappointed by the amount of noise. I'm considering removing the underlayment and using something that yields less to pressure. I had zero noise coming from the previous product I had on the floor with same type of underlayment.

Answer:
Yes. But do you have a vapor barrier under the subfloor? This can only be installed over a slab when there is adequate vapor control.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by red Oak Flooring Purchased red oak engineered flooring at clearance price. Previously purchased at reg price and it was great flooring at that price too. Professionally installed. Looks fit for a Queen. August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Engineered wood floor. It was easy to install, and looks great. A previous brand that I had used several years ago claims that it could be lightly sanded up to three times. This product recommends only a one time light sanding if necessary. September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tips for a more elegant appearance My wood floors look beautiful. Here are two tips. 1) Install the planks on an angle to achieve a more elegant appearance. 2) Separate the knotty wood and save those planks for closets or less visible locations. Greg March 15, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best real wood (enginered) I could find for the money. Installers said this new type of snap and click flooring goes down much easier that other types. It appears they were correct. They did not have to pound the ends together like other flooring. The finish around the dark areas of the wood has small waves in it, not noticeable unless it's a few inches from your face. overall very happy with the quality and appearance. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VERY Pleased With Flooring Product! We floored a living room, kitchen and bedroom with this product. Professional installers performed the installation and they were very impressed with the material, its beauty, and ease of installation - and they've seen all kinds! We liked the thinner strip size (4-1/4 width), color, value and warranty. It's comfy on bare feet and easy to keep clean. A total win-win! February 26, 2014
