Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor chuck performance The drill could not hold a 3/4" masonry bit in for more than a minute of sustained used. Am returning. March 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Drill Died after 10 holes. Bit stuck in concrete waiting for rescue by better tool. Drilled about 10 holes in concrete with 1/2 bit. The 10th hole now has my drill bit lodge because the drill died. I let it sit for an hour in case it was overheated but it is gone for sure. I just returned unit for another but after reading these reviews I am going back for another Model/Manufacturer. This is my first Milwaulkee tool and I am dissapointed. Home Depot was great and exchanged right away no hassle. December 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Hammer Drill on the Market I am on my second hammer drill. The first one would not change gears after 2 uses and now the second one has burnt up after drilling 4 holes in 3/16" thick metal with a 1/4" bit. Very disappointed with Milwaukee. March 2, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointing I bought one of these and when I got it home I found that I couldn’t change the gear box from low to high. I literally didn’t use it once. I brought it back to Home Depot and exchanged it for another one thinking that the bad one that I had was just some kind of fluke. Using the new one that I had just gotten, I started drilling a hole in concrete for an anchor and found myself tightening up the chuck two more times before I got the hole finished. And this was with a bit that had anti-slip tabs on the shank. The same thing happened on the next hole, and the third hole. The chuck refused to hold the bit tight. After finishing the third hole, I then found that I was not able to change the gear box again just like the first unit that I had. So I returned it to Home Depot also. I certainly didn’t try another Milwaukee. I have very little experience with Milwaukee. I thought they were supposed to have such a good reputation. Apparently I was wrong as these are made in China and the quality shows it. I doubt that I’ll be buying any more Milwaukee products. August 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good bang for your buck. Hard working and it never slows down, takes a beating. Only thing that would be great is having the extra space in the box for drill bits and hole saws. Even than this no problem since you can buy them in a case by themselves, for the cost of another case! January 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great drill If you need a heavy duty drill with a regular chuck this is your drill. What's also great is that it hammers as well for the masonry jobs you might need without having to buy a SDS drill bit. Good speed control for slow drilling into metal. January 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Don't drill concrete without it. I had to drill into some very old highly cured concrete. 18 volt cordless and standard 3/8" corded drill didn't make a dent. It took me less than 15 minutes to drill 20 plus holes. September 27, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Buy The complaints you read are well founded. Problems with Chuck not holding bit loosening up and switches hard to turn , excessive vibration and after drilling three holes screw in center of chuck fell out. Screw did not hold when tried to tighten ! Read the reviews too many people saying same story with problem.A perfect nightmare !! Have a great deal of Milwaukee tools but they are cheapening their quality and suprised they have not pulled this off the market. I read the reviews with the Bosch and much different story. I returned it and bought a Bosch 1 inch SDS Plus Hammer Drill Bulldog Extreme and WOW holes drilled like a knife in butter little effort drilled 48 1 5/8 holes on 25 year old cement. The drill did all the work and loved it. Bit is still sharp never heated up and would recommend this to all. November 19, 2014
