Rated 5 out of 5 by MARVELLOUS,AWESUM I BOUGHT THIS DRILL AND IT HAS MADE MY LIFE EASIER.IAM PLUMBER BY PROFESSION.BEFORE I WAS USING COMPANY'S MAKITA DRILL AND IT IS LOT EASIER TO DRILL HOLES IN JOICES AND STUDS.AS IT EATS THROUGH THE WOOD. December 26, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by Milwaukee 1/2 inch Super Hawg drill with tree planting auger My new Milwaukee 1/2 inch Super Hawg drill and auger is an invaluable tool for our fruit orchard. Whether it's drilling a deep hole to plant a new tree or just small ones to insert granular fertilizer, the drill never "skips a beat" penetrating our hard clay soil. I know if there is a problem, Home Depot stands behind its products. The employees are always friendly and helpful... if they can't answer my question, they will find someone who can. The Home Depot is #1 for all my projects! December 12, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Hawg? More like "Wood Rapi$t." I do a lot of wood working involving lots of large diameter holes in branches and logs. If you're in the same category and need projects done fast, this is probably the drill for you. This drill (with some long auger and self-feed bits chucked in) is my new best friend! The only cons I could share thus far would be that toggling between forward and reverse drilling can take an extra 5 seconds out of your life. Sometimes I would hit it in reverse to get a bit out of some wood and it would still be in forward and charge into the project I was working on. The weight of it can be fatiguing after awhile. I wish it was more variable in speed on the lower gear setting instead of it rushing to the 450RPM range. The 1750RPM setting works great too, but I'd recommend starting whatever you're drilling at a low speed before turning it up to high gear so it doesn't lose track and end up drilling into your body instead! I've only stalled it out once with a 6" hole saw that got a little "cock-eyed" while drilling. I could see how this thing could pull/tear some muscles, break wrists, or pull shoulders out of sockets.. So, think things out a little more when using it, but it still gives you better leverage since it's almost 2ft long and our hand isn't so close to the drilling action. Anyways, it's FUN to use! I only had a battery powered drill before I got this and the amount of time it took me to do one project with the cordless drill was 2 days! This drill can do it in 30 seconds! Good luck to you!
