Product Overview

The Milwaukee Hole Dozer Hole Saw features Rip guard, the strongest tooth form in the industry, backed by the Rip guard limited lifetime tooth break warranty. Each tooth is built with more steel behind the cutting edge for added strength. The Rip Guard warranty on tooth breaks is a first for the hole saw industry. The added tooth strength along with 8% cobalt give added life to the teeth, allowing for increased productivity on the jobsite, as well as continued hole quality. The Hole Dozer includes Plug Jack, an all access slot design that allows for full access during plug removal. The Plug Jack gives access lower into the cup for thick material and higher towards the teeth for thin material. With multiple positions to apply leverage and better plug access, Plug Jack increases productivity and eliminates wasted downtime between holes. For fast, tool-free change-outs, use Milwaukee's universal Quick-Change Arbors. 49-56-7210, 49-56-7240, 49-56-7250 and 49-56-9100.

Answer:
Yes, the Hole Dozer can cut through thick steel, even I-beams. For thick steel low RPM with generous cutting fluid/wax is recommended.

I have a Makita hole saw set, and actually used the adapter from that set, so it worked out perfectly.

Can I use this hole saw in drill press to cut thru Clear Extruded Acrylic Plexiglass Sheet 3/8 inch thick?
If yes, then what speed is recommended, 600 RPM or lower? Should I use any fluids to reduce generated heat? Thanks, Max

Answer:
Yes it will but take it slow so not to crack the material. Some persons run the drill in reverse after the center bit is through to cut without digging into the material, the more teeth you have on a bit (finer cut blade) is what you need to cut such materials.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Easily cut through my sink. Just be liberal with the oil so it doesn't overheat. Worked great. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great for stainless steel sink I had to drill a hole in a stainless steel sink for an air gap. I had a rather cheap step drill that was not doing the job. This hole saw worked great. Just remember, for stainless steel, keep it at very low rpm and keep it oiled. December 5, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by over priced It is a decent saw but have paid much less for same size that lasted longer. I will buy it again if the price goes way down. So I will not recommended this saw to anyone. April 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extra profit for Milwaukee I had to purchase this item separately to compliment my hole saw set that I received for Christmas. This added to the total overall cost of the set that should have been included in the first place. I assume the excellent quality will be like the others in the set. February 17, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needed for 8 holes thru .100" thick steel Had to drill 8 holes thru the metal beams that make up the structure of my pontoon boat deck. The cross members are made of steel & are .100" thick. First hole went thru with GREAT ease. The holes progressively got a little harder to drill & the teeth wanted to grab rather than cut. I actually found it cut much easier when coming in at a slight angle so it wasn't cutting 360 degrees but rather about 180 degrees of the hole till I broke thru then moved my angle upwards till I was flat to the work surface. This is the drill only 7 does not include the arbor or center locating, pilot drill bit. Purchased for this 1 use but it looks to have some life left in it for future use(s). Depending on your needs, this may be GREAT or it may be a one shot use. I got 8 uses out of mine & it can still go. March 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hole Saw Milwaukee is a fine tool brand, I would recommend there tools anytime. December 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just the right tool for the job I needed a hole saw of this size, this one was easy to use and got the job done quickly. July 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by poor quality had to drill hole in new ss sink for dishwasher discharge vacume break- new drill bit teeth wore out after 1/3 thru the sink-had to finish with jig saw with metal blade-would never buy this brand for future project. September 29, 2013
