1-3/8 in. Shockwave Thin Wall Hole Saw is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 15.

I bought it to make a hole in my 20 gauge sink to install a soap dispenser. I used it with an 18V hammer drill along with 3-in1 multi-purpose oil so it could spin easily. It took about 10 seconds to make a nice clean hole. I say just keep the surface lubricated with 3-in1 oil and the saw cuts very easily. It is advertised to be used on PVC, metal and concrete. I am rating it for Metal only since I did not use it on any other surface. I do see that it will cut PVC like butter but concrete can be a bit challenging.

I have used the Shockwave Hole Saws several times since purchase and found them to work as described. The saw cut through heavy electrical control boxes with ease without leaving sharp edges and popped the blank out. Works much better then a standard hole saw or plug cutter and the safety of having the raised lip to control the plunge was a great safety factor.

Very sharp, cut well; however the spring in the middle stuck in the core of the materials and very hard to remove the spring from it. It took me 15 minutes to remove it the first time. I threw the spring away on the 2nd time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A paperweight Purchased to drill holes in steel stud tracks in order to pass wire through. The bit lasted 2 holes before becoming so dull it was unusable. Save yourself the trouble and get a real hole saw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk - planning on returning I bought this, per the description of it being for masonry. Junk. It scratched the surface of stucco then went dull.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not at all durable I've burned up 2 this week. Snapped the pilot bit, can't get a replacement, did find something similar that'll work. 2nd one teeth just kept falling off then the set screw stripped the center shaft so the hole saw stays stationary as the pilot bit spins I'll be exchanging again all in all this product is built too cheap to be worth while

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than Just the Average Hole saw!! The cleanest cutting Hole saw I ever used, smooth edges and with the center ejector spring makes the tool self cleaning. I have only used it on metal electrical boxes like pictured on the package and that was my intention. Great tool decent price!
