At first ii's a bit hard/stiff to pull apart. I used a pair of pliers to pull everything apart one or two times. But after all I am a girl....{{{wink wink}}}

You just pull the metal part out of the base. No twisting or anything, just pull straight out.

Hi, I also can't find out how to release the other bits. It's not in the packaging, and it's not online. I've consulted a contractor friend who should know. Um, Milwaukee, maybe have instructions with your products?

Pull the main metal shaft out to access the other side. 1&2. large Phillips and large flat head 3&4. small Phillips and small flat head 5. small hex (small Phillips and flat head shaft) 6&7. medium hex and large hex (both sides of large shaft) 8&9. small combination bit and large combination bit 10. wire striper (side) 11. wire hooker (holes in shaft) December 11, 2015
