Customer Questions & Answers

where are the bits?

Asked by: James
The bits are stored in the shaft of the screwdriver, and are double ended

Is this magnetic?

Asked by: posen54
No. If it were, that would compensate for the ball bearing only bit-holding.

What bits come wit this?

It is listed as coming with square drive bits but the first picture shows a phillips bit.
Asked by: Jan
This is so confusing. the photo shows what looks like a Torx double ended bit. 3rd photo, top item of that pic. And the pic with the screwdriver planted on a valve or water line looks like some weird ended Tamper Proof bit. Description says it comes with Square bits, but I don't see them in the photo's.

Will this accept standard 1/4" hex drive screwdriver bits, like what you might use in a drill?

Will this accept standard 1/4" hex drive screwdriver bits, like what you might use in a drill?
Asked by: BK
Tangelo, this is "BK", thank you for trying to answer my question. The document you shared seems to show that the bits have a button of sorts, a raised round area that captivates the bit into the holder. Standard hex drive screwdriver bits don't have this button, they are captivated (held) in the bit holder by a strong magnet. So the question would next be.... Is there a magnet inside this screwdriver bit holder that will hold standard hex drive screwdriver bits? If there isn't, I'm not sure this screwdriver will hold them, as it appears to need the 'button' on the bit to make friction to hold the bits in place. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks, BK

I rated it low simply because its design is not truly compatible with the standard hex toolbit system. I bought it as a hand-held accessory to my power drills to hold standard hex tools- Torx, Allen, Phillips, etc., which you can insert and use. But it will only grip those with ball bearings. Others just fall out. For the person who only occasionally needs a multi-tool, it's probably fine, but such users should be aware that the fit is very secure and takes some strength to change tools. BTW, the instructions are minimal. It is not obvious that you have to pull out different pieces to get to each bit.

The smallest SAE bit size is larger than anything I need. Further -- the bits themselves are not precisely machined: the bits are more round than precise. This tool is worthless to me. I should have returned it. *Do Not Buy*

All aspects seem to be of good quality and it does fit nicely into the hand. I only real complaint I have is it is a bit short. I have most recently been using this to remover screws when changing door knobs and it seems to be just long enough to clear the knob. I feel if it were maybe an inch longer it would be perfect, but at this length I wish I would have chosen the Irwin.

Less tools to help make the weight of my tool kit lighter. I use it everyday in my HVAC trade. It has one flaw. The bits fall out too easy. I know at some point one or two of them will get lost. At that point, I will look for a similar tool by another manufacture which has solved this problem. (We are fans of Milwaukee which is why I tried it.)

These tips are very nice. They have a positive grip on fasteners. I keep one in the garage, and one in the kitchen. It's been the go to tool for me. Great tool. A great screwdriver will save lots of aggravation, and keep a simple job simple. Great value!
