Customer Questions & Answers

Does this saw come with a case or is it a "naked tool"?

Asked by: Anonymous
It's just the saw - no case. That didn't bother me because I already had a case from an old saw that I could use.

Can this tool be used to cut small tree branches?

Asked by: Cuttengeezer
absolutely! That's what I use it for. Don't get a wood cutting blade, instead look for a pruning blade. That's what you use on branches.

12 Amp 1-1/8 in. Stroke SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cut Down a Wall!!!! I have a Milwaukee Sawzall that was my grandads from back in the 50' It finally gave up the ghost but this new seems on track to replace it. I kept the old one but it weights a ton and the new one is easier on the arms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yeah, it's a Sawzall. Cut through several concrete blocks and some seriously hardened mortar using the Hitachi 12" masonry blade. Blade wore completely out. Sawzall didn't even break a sweat. Don't over-think this- just get one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best on the market After working for years in construction and facility maintenance. I have learned that Milwaukee reciprocating saws are the best. You get what you pay for. If you want a saw that will last, you must pay for it. Note that I deducted one bar on the value scale. Although they are the best, I feel that they are priced a little too high. I found the best price at Home Depot. I received the saw in a timely manner. The saw works great. I have only one regret, I wish I had purchased a saw with the orbital cutting action selector. Other then that, I am well pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAWZALLS RULE My experience with a 12 amp sawzall started after a fire at my son's house three years ago. Since he had no insurance, the demolition and rebuild fell squarely on the family members. The roof had to be dismantled, as was some of the floors and walls. Through it all, a single 12 amp sawzall took everything that we could throw at it and it never hesitated to do its job. If you can wear one of these saws out, you would have accomplished something that we haven't been able to do. It is a must have tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - plenty of power! This is a great product. I've used to to do some DYI renovations, and it is a champ. I was very impressed with the power and ease with which it went through things. Also did some branch cutting at a friend's yard and it performed just as well. It is well balanced and easy to use, with not too much vibration. The blades are also very easy to change, which is always a plus. Have not used it for anything too extreme, just around the house DYI, but I do not expect that bigger projects would be a problem. Another great product from Milwaukee, which is a great brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality from the best power tool manufacturer Usually I'm a little cheap with my power tools because I'm a DIYer. However, for a tool as violent as a Sawzall, I want quality, and I got it. This is the bottom-shelf Milwaukee, but it's lightyears beyond any of those Black&Decker saws. Well worth the extra 20 bucks. It's heavy enough to keep enough weight on the blade going through material, but it's light-weight enough for 1-handed operation. Darn near perfect size and weight. I know there are a few features the Super Sawzall has that this one doesn't, but I don't really miss those features for the 40 hours a year I'll be running this saw. The blade holder is easy to use. The foot is sturdy. The variable speed trigger seems nicely weighted and has a nice range. It came in a cheap cardboard box, with some paperwork. No freebie blades, no case. But that's ok. I picked up a couple of Morse blades which are running nicely.
