Answer:
It's just the saw - no case. That didn't bother me because I already had a case from an old saw that I could use.

Answer:
absolutely! That's what I use it for. Don't get a wood cutting blade, instead look for a pruning blade. That's what you use on branches.

YES!!! And large tree branches too. But it is better to buy a chain saw if you want to cut trees on a regular basis.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Powerful, great tool! I have 4 acres of Mesquite trees. What you have to understand is that they are members of the ironwood family. Once the wood dries, it really is iron wood. I got tired of quickly running down the batteries on my old battery operated reciprocating saw cutting dried out mesquite branches and stumps. So I purchased this 12 amp sawzall - WOW! Powerful, cuts like a dream. And it cuts fresh branches better & quicker than pruning shears. Like butter. Why didn't I buy this saw years ago? Even though I now have to run an extension cord, it's totally worth the power and endurance of this great saw. I was cutting thru 6+ inch dried out stumps & branches and the saw didn't flinch, nor slow down. It ran & ran & ran. It feels solid and in control. Just one warning, since this is more of a professional instrument, it doesn't have that extra button which prevents you from pressing the trigger until you press both the safety & the trigger. So you have handle it more like a pistol, keep your finger off of the trigger until you want it to run. June 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Light and powerful I have a Porter-Cable Tiger saw. A fine tool but way too heavy for me. There was a Milwaukee saws-all at work which I never used. One day I had the need for a recip saw and grabbed the Milwaukee. Wow! It was sooo light! The PC weighs 12+ pounds. The Milwaukee weighs 7! Almost half. And a very nice tool. Bought one right away and gave the old one to my much younger son. I cannot imagine using the PC for any length of time. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Saw Another great tool from Milwaukee. This thing is a monster due to its high power. Not recomended for your typical DIY'er. Most people are probably better off with a smaller lighter saw. November 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Saw, great price! I was looking for an inexpensive saw for use at home on remodeling and landscaping and for less than $100, this saw is fantastic! It made stump removal a piece of cake and the dirt wasn't an issue at all. This saw cuts right through wood, pvc and cast pipping and heavy timber embedded with nails like it was hot butter. As a contractor as well I recommend this saw! April 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SAWZALLS RULE My experience with a 12 amp sawzall started after a fire at my son's house three years ago. Since he had no insurance, the demolition and rebuild fell squarely on the family members. The roof had to be dismantled, as was some of the floors and walls. Through it all, a single 12 amp sawzall took everything that we could throw at it and it never hesitated to do its job. If you can wear one of these saws out, you would have accomplished something that we haven't been able to do. It is a must have tool. January 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product - plenty of power! This is a great product. I've used to to do some DYI renovations, and it is a champ. I was very impressed with the power and ease with which it went through things. Also did some branch cutting at a friend's yard and it performed just as well. It is well balanced and easy to use, with not too much vibration. The blades are also very easy to change, which is always a plus. Have not used it for anything too extreme, just around the house DYI, but I do not expect that bigger projects would be a problem. Another great product from Milwaukee, which is a great brand. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best on the market After working for years in construction and facility maintenance. I have learned that Milwaukee reciprocating saws are the best. You get what you pay for. If you want a saw that will last, you must pay for it. Note that I deducted one bar on the value scale. Although they are the best, I feel that they are priced a little too high. I found the best price at Home Depot. I received the saw in a timely manner. The saw works great. I have only one regret, I wish I had purchased a saw with the orbital cutting action selector. Other then that, I am well pleased with my purchase. March 19, 2013
