Age has caught up to me. I love landscaping/gardening, but no longer have the youth and vigor to maintain my home. Well, not before this amazing tool! Powerful, smooth, fast! Amazing tool for thej home landscape. Chainsaws are too dangerous for me. This was completely controllable. The great equalizer for age and infirmity! I used this with a 6 inch and 12 inch pruning blade at 5 TPI. It made light work of previously daunting pruning of mature trees. Many cuts were in the 4+ inch range and were easily accomplished without concern for life and (MY!) limb! This female senior citizen thanks you, Milwaukee! A truly remarkable tool! Thanks to Home Depot for providing the guidance online and in store on which tool would suit my needs along with the blades to make the project complete.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charjd Great for getting out stumps!
Works great. We needed three sycamore tree stumps taken out. The tree cutter could not get his stump grinder inside our yard without dismantling our fence. A neighbor told us a sawzaw would work and it has been fast, easy and now we are planting three small trees in their place.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HillsWoodworking This thing GOES!
I bought this sawzall 4 days ago to cut 4x4s and 6x4s on a pole barn style project I have going and WOW! This thing is a beast! I also picked up some Milwaukee blades and, just because I'm a huge fan, some Diablo Demo Demon blades. The jury is out on which one works better (which makes me like Milwaukee even more) but this tool is a must have! No hiccups, didn't bog, and CHEWED through treated lumber like a pack of rabid beavers. It took no more than a few seconds to get through the treated 4x4s and just a hair longer on the 6x4s. Why wouldn't you buy this?! I have no clue. At $120, I kinda felt guilty. Almost like I was stealing from Home Depot.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nick9ame Very good, but....
I wanted a light saw and there are 3 worth considering around 7 pounds. I bought this one because I really liked the easy load chuck and was not disappointed. Ease of changing blades is of utmost importance, because you are hot, tired, etc and do not want to be tortured when changing a blade. I rated 4 rather than 5 because of case. I agree with another reviewer that case is too small to hold blades and the design of the case pinches the cord as it comes out of the tool. This will shorten the life of the power cord. All it would take is another inch of height and the case would acomidate blades and not pinch the cord.

You have to expect a very good saw when it has the word "Sawsall" written on it. After all, Mlilwalkii made the first and original one. When one talks about a reciprocal saw they don't say: "Give me the reciprocal saw." They say: "Give me the "Sawsall" regardless of what brand they happen to be using. I know this as fact from over 40 years of construction work. The sad thing is, in all of those years, I never owned a real Millwalkii Sawsall!
I've used about every other brand for some odd reason. So, now that I am semi-retired, the old recipricating saw I have used over the past 10 or so years burned out. I was in the middle of a large project that needed this type of saw and as luck had it, this "Sawsall" was on sale at Home Depot and included a nice case. I now have my first, real, Sawsall.
This is a terrific saw. The quick change blade feature is simple and strong. I no longer have to use an allen wrench to change blades and that, in and of itself, is a game changer. The floating foot makes it easy to plunge cut a hole. The power and weight of the saw are very good and this saw slices through everything like a knife slices through butter.
The only feature I don't like is that I didn't buy one 40 years ago to start with!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steveorino Great tool for yard work
When used with a a pruning blade this is an excellent substitute for a chain saw in situations where the chain saw would be too large or cumbersome. It is the best tool for digging out smaller stumps ( 6" diameter or smaller) simply plunge the sawzall into the ground and move the saw in a circular motion around the stump cutting the roots and allowing you to remove the stump quickly and with very little mess.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FLRootCutter Great Tool, Good Power for size and weight!
I am very satisfied with this saw and its performance so far. I've had it for three weeks and only used on one subterranean project, which was trenching a two irrigation re-route paths through tree roots. This saw has assisted in trenching through approximately 20 roots, ranging in diameter from 3 to 12 inches, with most of the roots cut approximating 6-8 inch diameter. Not a fun project, but could not have done it without this saw.

I'm a Milwaukee guy, their power tools are the best on the market in my opinion. For $99.00 you can't go wrong with this saw. If your a contractor who does heavy demolition work on a daily basis you probably would want the heavier duty Super Sawzall . For occasional demo work or like adding windows or a door to a wall this saw is more than capable of handling the task. This saw is for the pro and the DYI'er needs. I do agree with one reviewer that the case could use some revamping. It does not hold a blade assortment and no roon for a pair of safety glasses , enlarge the case for these items and you will have a 10 score across the board.
