Product Overview

The Ax Sawzall blades have been engineered to deliver the fastest cuts, longest life, greatest tooth durability and quickest plunge cuts of any wood demolition blade on the market. Ordinary teeth deliver either speed or durability. Nail guard solves this trade-off with an aggressive 5 TPI pattern for faster cuts and a unique design that protects against tooth fracture. In addition, ordinary tips bounce or skate on the work piece. Fang tip bites into the wood on first contact. A thicker, more rigid blade body resists fracturing and bending for maximum durability. The 1in. tall blade body reduces blade twisting for straighter, more accurate cuts. Blade includes Matrix II bi-metal teeth for greater durability. Includes 25 individual blades.

12 in. 5 Teeth per in. Ax Demolition Cutting Sawzall Reciprocating Saw Blades (25-Pack) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 70.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good blade great for demo work. Bought this pack of blades for removing old sheathing from barn poles by cutting through "quite thick" nails. It cuts quickly through wood and makes quick work of the nails. It could be just a little more flexible for getting around corners and behind things but other than that it does a great job. the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is it's a little pricey, but the blades lat a long time. (Ive cut through easily 100 quite thick nails with the first blade and it is still cutting ok)

So far, this blade design is a great improvement on the original "AXE" blade. This new blade does cut faster and lasts much longer. However a faster cut can often mean a crooked cut because things go south faster. Not precision, not a finish cut, so don't use this blade for those expectations. If used for the intended purpose, this blade is the best non-carbide tipped blade have used to date.

Needed a blade to cut shrubs and saplings below ground level to enable mowing the area. This blade did the job but expect the front teeth to wear out quickly since they are cutting into dirt all the time. The back teeth last much longer since they're mostly cutting wood. I can't fault the blade since this is not it's designed purpose.

The blades are durable long lasting with wood cutting. Same jobs could be done with gas chain saw but with much more saw maintenance, risk of injury, and balance when used from ladder.

They're thick and sturdy and stay sharp a long time. I keep a few old ones to use when I have to saw out roots down in the soil. Not all saw arbors are the same so be sure the insert end of this blade is the right design for your saw.

The special tooth shape makes the blades stay sharp and very aggressive cutting wood after cutting many nails. Once I discovered these blades, I have never bought any other wood blades.

I got these to cut a header stud in an older house which was a 4x4 stud and was trying to shave about an inch off and it took so much effort to cut though it. I stopped and got a different brand blade...that worked better.

Makes cleaner cut in drywall and wood. Seems to hold edge well although this job was small. Chose because made multi-purposed for wood and the occasional nail that comes by.
