Trying to figure out if I should get these pliers or the straight jaw ones (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-12-in-Straight-Jaw-Pliers-48-22-6312/205652211). Anyone know what are the use cases for either one?

Answer:
It's dependent upon the application. You'll use these pliers for hex bolts where the straight jaw pliers don't have as many leverage points for a hex bolt.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Not a bad piece of hardware I was impressed with the product. It is just like my Irwin Vise Grip pliers. My only con is that the price should have been lower. October 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Designed for electricians. Everything about the pliers is designed around the things electricians do with less worthy slip joint plies. I have seen many a guy cut the handles off a brand new pair so they can be used as a reamer. And the fact that the head is shaped and has a edge to ream larger pipe is also a plus. July 18, 2012
