It's not smooth in the cutting motion, a lot of pressure has to be applied. Bought a wiss cutter and you can feel the difference in smoothness in the cuttting motion. Love Milwaukee tools but this was a big let down.

Let me start this by saying that I am a HUGE Milwaukee (Techtronic Industries) fan. Whenever a tool is needed, I always go for a Milwaukee variant if it exists. This goes for hand tools, 12v Cordless, 18v cordless, corded, and bench-top tools.
I had absolutely no reason to think that these snips would not deliver. Everything from Milwaukee has greatly impressed me, always. Somehow, they even do Sharpie's better. These snips cut pretty well. If you follow proper technique and usage of the snips, they cut well. Snips do not cut like scissors, so treating them like "metal scissors" you will get sub-par results no matter the quality. They did not leave any major marks or scars on the metal, and the cutting action performed well.
Why are these such a huge disappointment? The spring. These snips are so weak that they do not open their jaw at all. The snips have to be manually closed, and manually opened. The spring is not strong enough to open the jaw. If you are only making a couple of snips, this is not a big deal. But on bigger projects, the stress on your hands truly does add up. I found that I needed to keep my ring and pinky finger on the inside of the grip, so that I can use pointer and middle to close, ring and pinky to open.
Milwaukee, please fix this. It is a really ugly blemish on an incredible record. This is the only Milwaukee tool that I would not recommend to anyone.

These shears are easy on the hand to use, cut well, give a smooth edge, and are a good value.

Bought these primarily to install gutter and they worked like a champ. I've gotten good use out of them since for general household and garage use. Not something I would have purchased were it not for the gutter project but definitely glad to have them.

I recently went under my house to run some surround sound wires and while I was down there I happened to notice some large holes in my duct work where it connected to my plenum under the house. It seems at some point I had standing water under the house and it had rusted out parts of my duct work. Well since I'm cheap and didn't want to pay a contractor I set about trying to round up some of the tools I would need to replace sections of my duct work and these snips fit the bill perfectly. I'm not sure if this is exactly what they are to be used for but they worked perfectly for cutting the ducting. They cut the tin perfectly and cleanly each time. They are comfortable in the hand. You do want to make sure you wear gloves with them so the tin doesn't cut you. I would highly recommend these to anyone who is working on any home project and they need to cut tin. I'm going to be using these things again soon to replace my dryer vent tubing soon.
