Use the Milwaukee 2-1/2 in. Bi-Metal Hole Saw to cut holes in a variety of materials. The steel hole saw can drill almost 2 in. deep. Milwaukee Ice Hardened products utilize a proprietary cryogenic hardening process that improves upon traditional heat treat processes. Unlike surface coatings that wear away, cryogenics harden to the core by minimizing soft metal (austenite) and creating more hard metal (martensite). The result is a product that is more consistently hard throughout, resulting in life up to 50% longer than the competition.

  • 1/2 in. chuck size
  • High-speed steel construction
  • 2-1/2 in. diameter
  • 1-51/64 in. drilling depth

Rated 5 out of 5 by This is the reason you buy Milwaukee Outsanding. Well worth the money! Its so nice to (still) find quality tools. I needed this to put two holes in 1/8" cold rolled steel plate. I used a drill press, ~550rpm, small amount of motor oil for lubrication. It walked right through this tough metal. I went easy during the break in period (just like with my band saw).. On this large flat plate it really let out a noise at it cut. Even going easy it when right through with little effort. After driling the two holes the teeth seemed as sharp as ever. I really miss quality tools like this.. September 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice saw Keep the speed down and use a big drill motor with a lot of torque and this saw will last for many years and cut a lot of holes but get it to hot to touch and you will ruin the temper and soften the blades. It is not a carbide cutter so don't treat it like one and it will last the test of time. November 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor choice for metal This product is to much money and does not work well with metal. I would never again buy one. This product should not be advertised to cut in metal. April 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is the hole saw to own Milwaukee makes a great product in their Ice Hardened line of hole saws. I own multiple sizes and have used them in multiple materials. It is really the only hole saw to own. February 25, 2014
