Ok we all know Bosch Model # 1617EVSPK is well know to be a great router. I Owned it my self but did not last so I decided to try this Milwaukee..
Here is whats better from Milwaukee vs Bosh,
1. Rubber grips
2. WAY better to remove from plunge and fix base.
3. A lot less vibration
4. Comes with a centering pin
5. The body grip, yea you have to try it to believe it.
Here is whats better from Bosh Vs Milwaukee
1. The plunge feels smother has less resistance.
2. Box it came with
3. Router Guide Options
4. Soft start
My personal opinion, Milwaukee wins.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EABB Excellent router.
High quality tool. The problem of slipping of the motor unit in the base was resolved by adjusting the tension on the clamp. Not a problem and easily done.
Better quality than Porter-Cable. About the same as Festool. Dust collection is about the same as Festool. More attachments available for the Festool 1400.
I found an excellent edge guide (no longer available from Milwaukee) from a guy on-line that makes acryilc bases and edge guides. Very good workmanship. Pat Warner, if you want to see his products.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bryan Great router....but where can I find attachments?
I have looked everywhere for a straight edge guide for this router only to find one that has been discontinued. I can not find any attachments for this router? Help anyone! Looks like I may return and go with Dewalt as they have attachments for everything.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dman Everything you expect from Milwaukee except where it's made
I have never been disappointed with a Milwaukee power tool going back at least 20 years and this one delivered as expected. The plunge base operates smoothly and I particularly like the spring-loaded plunge lock lever. It is within easy reach of the thumb, not too stiff to operate, and locks crisply. Unfortunately the same thing cannot be said for the depth stop rod and lock. Setting the rod precisely is difficult because it wobbles around a lot before being locked into place with the locking screw. Lastly, I didn't realize until after I bought it that it was made in China. One of the reasons I have been so loyal to Milwaukee over the years is that most of their power tools were manufactured (or at least assembled) in the USA. I suspect that I will own a wider variety of brands in the future as "where it is made" no longer factors into the decision as to which to buy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by byates Excellent tool, good price. The plunge router has great control on depth plunging, one finger adjustment. Runs smooth and the case holds several different size bits, 1/2" and 1/4" shanks, plus accesories. Easy to change bit system. Smooth startup and very user friendly.
If you do any routing beyond once or twice a month this tool is worth the extra $$$.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NewbieWoodsmith Great Product very smooth operation
I bought this router to complete a project I was starting, and I was very pleased with it's operation. The delayed start feature worked very well along with the dial adjustment for the variable speed feature. Tool change was very simple, and the change-over from the fixed base to the plunge base was quick.
The one minor complaint I have is the depth adjustment for the fixed does not have an intuitive scale on it.
Overall, I am very pleased with this Milwaukee router, and is a great tool for me to begin building my wood working collection.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bert Safe, Accommodating, and Easy to Use
Bodygrip feature is great because you don't have to take one hand off of the router to turn it off. The soft start and EVS make for smoother cuts and better control. The hardshell case is very smartly designed. Great for the shop and job site. Adjusting the router bits quickly and accurately is really easy. Made out of solid materials, feels like a serious piece of machinery. Best router i've ever used.
