Answer:
I'd use a corded drill no less than 6 amps. A cordless drill will not have the torque needed. I've used a Milwaukee hand drill, angle drill and Rigid hammer drill with this drill bit with great success.

Answer:
For applications that call for continuous torque such as wood drilling, we reccommend using the Milwaukee(R) Hole Hawg Heavy Duty drill. See sku (776-122).

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great drill bit This is a great drill bit. No effort drilling through studs, joists, plywood or anything wood. No pushing or straining, it just pulls its self through. I only had one small problem, I hit some nails. Once I ran a file over the replaceable blade, it was good as new. I love this thing and look forward to getting more sizes to add to the collection. You may think the price it a little steep but, you'll know why once you put it to task. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by stronger than nails drill bit is very strong, cuts through nails if encountered...I drilled through 8 inch beam without a problem with drill bit....make sure to have a very strong drill for your work June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Auger bit Messier than a whole saw, but quicker. Have to switch blades before you wear out the actual bit December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Milwaukee 2 9/16" bit I bought this bit to cut holes in 6" timber and it works great. After 26 holes so far it is still very sharp and cuts true. I just wish HD had a 3" size. July 14, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A gimmic that does not work Expensive, dulls rapidly in clean construction lumber, and no replacement replacement parts are available locally. May 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great design! Works great! Cuts like butter! I am going to purchase more of these in the future! December 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The solution I found For 2 in. washing machine waste pipe I needed to go thru almost 5 inches of old,old growth hard D.Fir and the hole saws were all too short and unmanageable so I purchased this and borrowed a big 1/2" impact drill form my local tool Library, bang it chewed thru the wood with ease. Not cheap but it got the job done and that's is what I needed. June 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Very nice bit. Changing blades is easy. Takes a lot of abuse and still works good. June 5, 2014
