The end of the tape is hard to read, and it bends too easily. I've had to adjust it several times to get it to read right because it bent.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hurwizzle Best tape measure I've ever owned!
From the first time I held the measure, I could tell it was great. The body of this tape measure feels extremely sturdy, which is great because I tend to drop it pretty often, and the tape feels incredibly durable, too. Seriously, the thing just feels like it was born ready to work.
Cool features include dual magnets on the tab for a stronger, more secure hold, a brilliant finger protector (shown in one of the pictures) to keep your hand from feeling the pain of the retracting tape/tab, and numbering on both the front AND the back of the tape measure!

Saw it on sale and thought it would be a nice addition to my tool box, but was wrong. Biggest flaw is that it doesn't stand up when the blade is extended and you lock the blade. So when measuring wood and other non-metallic products (like sheet rock), the body of the ruler rolls over, causing the end of the tape to detach from the edge of the object you are measuring. Guess it would be a much better tool if I was working with metal products. Going back to my old Stanlely 25-footer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charlie The BEST MAGNETIC tape out there!!!!
I work at Electric Boat and I cut all kinds of metal sizes and shapes all night long.
This means that I am constantly measuring all night long. I really like the EASY TO READ NUMBERS,
as well as foot and the stud center marks. The belt hook works the best of ALL of the tape measures THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED. It hooks to your back pocket FIRST time and EVERY time.
So do what I did and go to the tool department of the Home Depot and compare this tape measure for yourself and it will win ITSELF over to you.

it is big for me. A little on the heavy side and the end is slande back so you have to add to the measurement. YES, I know I could bend it out but hey what if I break it. I am using it but will replace it once back home. I do not like the FAT MAX for the same reasons.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Russomstudio A good start
I purchased this as a combo at Christmas. It included a 16' tape. The 16' tape broke the first time I used it. the tape would not retract. The 25' tape has performed as expected so far. I have used it on a few jobsites and regularly at home. The reach is about 11'-12' before collapsing. The tape texture is unique and the measurements printed on both sides are a nice feature. I also has an Architectural scale rule on the backside of the first 12" of tape. The magnetic end is useful for me working in the HVAC industry, allowing me to take dimensions without help. There are other brands with similar characteristics that I would recommend over this product.

Super heavey duty. Smooth sliding tape in and out. Belt loop is big and stays tight on your pocket

I needed a new 25' tape & was comparing prices in the store when this one caught my eye. "What makes this worth almost $1/ft?", I thought. I picked it up instantly had to have it. The hook is great without being too big. The finger stop is my favorite feature. The double-sided markings have been a blessing. The retraction is smooth & strong.
I used to love the Stanley Leverlocks, but the quality has gone down in the last few years. Although, my 16' I found on a jobsite is still my primary tape & still going strong. Most of my measuring is 12' & under.
Now, to the almost part. I was in line behind my boss to checkout & he looked at it while the materials were getting rung up. He snatched it form me & bought it for himself. It is in my tool belt, but he owns it. That's OK. I'll get my own on the next job we don't work together & also pick up a smaller one to use as my primary tape.
