Product Overview

The Milwaukee Hole Dozer Hole Saw features Rip guard, the strongest tooth form in the industry, backed by the Rip guard limited lifetime tooth break warranty. Each tooth is built with more steel behind the cutting edge for added strength. The Rip Guard warranty on tooth breaks is a first for the hole saw industry. The added tooth strength along with 8% cobalt give added life to the teeth, allowing for increased productivity on the jobsite, as well as continued hole quality. The Hole Dozer includes Plug Jack, an all access slot design that allows for full access during plug removal. The Plug Jack gives access lower into the cup for thick material and higher towards the teeth for thin material. With multiple positions to apply leverage and better plug access, Plug Jack increases productivity and eliminates wasted downtime between holes. For fast, tool-free change-outs, use Milwaukee's universal Quick-Change Arbors. 49-56-7210, 49-56-7240, 49-56-7250 and 49-56-9100.

Answer:
Yes, the Hole Dozer can cut through thick steel, even I-beams. For thick steel low RPM with generous cutting fluid/wax is recommended.

I have a Makita hole saw set, and actually used the adapter from that set, so it worked out perfectly.

Can I use this hole saw in drill press to cut thru Clear Extruded Acrylic Plexiglass Sheet 3/8 inch thick?
If yes, then what speed is recommended, 600 RPM or lower? Should I use any fluids to reduce generated heat? Thanks, Max

Answer:
Yes it will but take it slow so not to crack the material. Some persons run the drill in reverse after the center bit is through to cut without digging into the material, the more teeth you have on a bit (finer cut blade) is what you need to cut such materials.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good for wood Only I have purchased this type of hole saw in the past and have had good luck with them. I needed a new size for a project that required me to drill a hole from my basement to the outside. This saw works great through wood. However any other material will dull it and make it worthless. The layers of my hose that i had to drill through were 1" thick rim board a 3/4" plywood sheathing. Those were no problem. As soon as I drilled into the dryvit stucco (its about 1/16" thick cement) it could not do it. When I finally got through it the hole saw was so dull it could no longer even cut wood. I cant see how this could cut through metal if it gets so dull on a hard surface. September 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This bit does not hold up. Drill got dull and i could not finish the job. Had ti go get a new one. December 16, 2014
