Bought this for a party. Put 5 cases of water on the truck, well below the rated limited. Could not pull or push because the metal sheet the casters were attached to bent. Should be rated for 100 lbs. Who needs a dolly for a 100 lbs????

It broke the first time I used it. They say 300 to 500 lb capacity, but mine fell apart after moving 150 lbs about 30 ft. The smaller wheels are now bent and no longer usable. I am very disappointed. This may work for lighter loads, but I wouldn't try putting more than 100 lbs on this piece of junk. Don't waste your money. Spend the extra $30 and get something that is better crafted.

The hand truck supposedly can carry 300 pounds in the vertical position and 500 pounds as a platform cart. The first time I used the hand truck - and used it as a platform cart - to carry under 200 pounds of tile, the plastic 3 inch swivel casters shredded on the brick sidewalk, broke apart at the axle shaft, and twisted the mounting section of the hand truck. All of this before I moved 25 feet. The large wheels perform okay, however the loading platform is shallow and limits the size of box that can be moved and the position in which it can be carried. The frame of the truck seems study. The hand truck probably performs well at under 75 pounds but that isn't the load it is advertised to carry. For heavy-duty carrying, consider another hand truck.

This hand truck when laid down to convert into a cart and loaded with 6 crates of milk, the metal framing around the small casters bent. This cart should only be rated at 100 pounds max. This hand truck is JUNK.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Madeinusa Little wheels broke after a few days
I bought this to move my apartmentapartment. I loaded it with 8 or so small boxes. 3 or so had books. The metal holding the front wheels buckled rendering them useless. It was not near 500 lbs. It was great before it broke a few days after buying it.

Very sturdy construction, small enough to fit in trunk or back of SUV. Excellent price compared to others and other convertibles with the same capacity rating.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JinAZ read the reviews about the small caster mount CAREFULLY!!
bought this to help move some plastic totes. I certainly wouldn't have it I had read these comments. Thin metal mount where casters mount bent as soon as we tried to roll the cart rendering it useless in 4 wheel mode. I'm torn on whether to return it, or fire up the wire feed welder and fix the dang thing.. Unless you have the skills to "repair" this, I suggest not to buy it.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by brown007 unreliable for real world use
I used it for moving 70 lbs of equipment in flatbed configuration across 6 blocks of washington dc sidewalks and crosswalks. The place where the two casters connect folded up into crossbar. Had to drag/push the cart because wheels would not move. My guess, the up and down motion, caused the flimsy metal to bend. Won't work for urban transport. Maybe a super flat factory floor where they tested their product!
