Answer:
If you plan to move the generator on a flat surface, this would work fine. I would not recommend it if you need to move the generator up or down stairs or on an uneven/soft surface like grass, dirt, etc.

Is it possible to have the plastic wheels replaced with more durable ones? After the purchase of course.

Answer:
The wheels in the front are similar to a wheel barrel, and in the rear are casters like on a stretcher. Don't know why you would want to replace them.

It would be far easier and cheaper to not buy this hand truck and instead select one that has more durable wheels.

Not sure it this is possible. Will probably need to change the pin that holds the wheel in place to a screw and bolt.

I don't have it with me here, but I'd say about 2.5 feet. Check online as HomeDepot.com and the web site will have the dimensions you need.

Answer:
Set "Your Store" to a store in the Charleston area. Then when reviewing products, the website will indicate whether (and in which aisle) the product is available in that store. If the product is not available in that store, you'll have the option to search other stores within the area.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 84 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible hand truck Met up in the home depot with a friend that purchased same hand truck. Mine broke day after first use and his broke same day of purchase. Same wheel!Terrible! June 21, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smaller wheels are weak! I bought this to lug around miscellaneous items. I set this up to use as a push cart and I unloaded 5 cases of water onto this. I had a hard time getting over a 1/2 in threshold with the smaller wheels. When I finally did I noticed that the small wheels were not moving when I turned the cart. After I unloaded the cases of water, I discovered the thin metal holding the wheels had bent which made it impossible for the wheels to turn. I returned the cart. Luckily Home Depot was very helpful in the return process. May 28, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Still a good 2 wheeler The first time I converted it to a four wheeler, one of the small wheels broke off. It still functions as a two wheeler though May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Bought this to help move daughter out of college dorm. It was nice that it was convertible to use like a wagon to put more boxes on. Then it went back to a straight cart that fit in her front seat. We would highly recommend it. May 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad for light use Bought this because we kept hauling boxes of books, cartons of drinks, and other supplies for the PTA at my daughter's school (which is across the street from our house). Four years later, it still works, but the small tires had to be replaced within two years. Biggest complaint was that when the cart is down, the handle is so short that I'd have to bend to push it, and end up with a backache. Better tires and a longer handle would have made it perfect for our use. April 8, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Got the job done When I first picked it up from Home Depot, it was covered in scratches and bird feces. I went to grab another and it turns out, they were all that nasty. But I needed it for a move so I had to bring it home and clean it myself before putting my stuff on it. Overall, the dolly was pretty wobbly and one of the wheels stuck as soon as I started trying to use it, which didn't make it fun. March 15, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too flimsy The piece of steel holding the smaller casters is too thin. I loaded the truck with some boxes of books that were well under the load limit and it bent the steel. I was able to bend it back with my hands, which tells you how thin it is. I'm probably going to just buy a thicker piece of steel and fix it. Definitely would NOT buy this again. March 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NG The small wheels bent the first time I used it, can only be used as a 2 wheel hand truck with a loose handle March 15, 2016
