Product Overview

The Milwaukee 4-1/2 in. Hole Dozer Hole Saw features Rip Guard teeth that were built with more steel behind the cutting edge for added strength. They give you enhanced productivity on the job site as well as better hole quality. They're also backed by a limited lifetime tooth break warranty. The Hole Dozer comes with a Plug Jack, an all-access slot design that allows for full access during plug removal. The Plug Jack enables access lower into the cup for thick material and higher toward the teeth for thin material. With multiple positions to apply leverage and better plug access, the Plug Jack eliminates wasted downtime between holes. Pair this hole saw kit with universal quick-change arbors for fast, tool-free change-outs (model numbers 49-56-7210, 49-56-7240, 49-56-7250 and 49-56-9100 - sold separately).

The details don't say one way or another so one would assume its just the hole saw and not the arbor to attach it to a drill, so does it come with the arbor at this price?

Answer:
We would not recommend this specific hole saw for cutting Hardi Backer board. We recommended using a carbide tipped hole saw (model #49-56-4503 for 4-1/2”).

Answer:
Yes, the Hole Dozer can cut through thick steel, even I-beams. For thick steel low RPM with generous cutting fluid/wax is recommended.

Answer:
This saw is designed to cut though wood, metal, and PVC. It should be fine to cut though any material as long as it is not masonry, glass, tile or concrete.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What an improvement! I have used many hole saws in my 35 years as a carpenter / handy-person. INCLUDING Milwaukee hole saws. This one has a new tooth design (new to me) that cuts like it was a freshly sharpened chain saw. No ripping or tearing, just a fast aggressive cut. Then add the new stepped feature for removing the hole plug. I don't know how many hours I have spent trying to dig the wood 'hole' out of my old hole saws. What a pain! This one has a stepped set up where it is so easy to reach into the side of the saw... stepping a screw driver around - bumping up and up until the 'hole' is removed from the saw. Someone was really thinking when they came up with this hole saw. I can see why they call it a "Dozer". January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect hole saw, cuts great and easy to clean out after each cut. The saw is easy to use and cleans easily too. I also came back and purchase a two and a half saw after that purchase. February 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good product Easy to use and to clean out wood shavings. I would buy again October 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Milwaukee Tool says it all Milwaukee Tool has a great history of creating great products... too bad they've moved some manufacturing out of the country, but that seems to be the norm these days. But if you want a great quality circle saw, this is the one to buy if you can keep it in your tool box! Over the years I have purchased some cheapie circle saws and thrown them out, one after another. So far I think I own a dozen different sizes, from 3/4" up and they LAST. They also cut through metal, my toughest test, and they can move through plastic or wood with ease, then go back to steel including frames on cars. When you buy a circle saw, it is usually for one purpose, but these can be used for MANY things. January 6, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 4 1/2" bi-metal hole saw the bit and hole saw cut one hole through 3/4" sheetrock, then would not cut one hole through 3/8" hardi board. completely ground down the teeth trying. so, not suitable for hardi board. bi-metal; maybe ? May 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great hole saw Love this hole saw , great quality after drilling all my holes it still works like new. I owned and used Milwaukee tools for many years I never have been disappointed with their quality. October 28, 2014
