Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good meter at a good price Good, reliable meter at a good, competitive price. Overall great value. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for diagostics As a homeowner I can't say that this is a tool that use to often, but it does come in handy. I have used this to figure out how much power my pool uses and what is costs to operate. Its also handy for figure out is something that draws power is tripping a breaker because of a bad breaker, something going on with the piece of equipment or just using too small of wiring. This unit is also pretty accurate, I compared it to more expensive equipment I have at work and it was always with a couple of percent of the same readings. The response is a little slower, but other than trying to find the inrush current on a motor starting up i can't think of a time where this would be needed. July 31, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not recommend for skilled trades. very impress the build of this meter. rugged. small. led light.backlight. five year warranty trms meter. except for one thing. the ohm reading. I am a hvac/r tech. check a pump winding. zero ohm reading. i make sure connection is tight and has good connection. still zero ohm reading. so must be a open winding. took it out and hooked power to it. the pump works! look like this meter does not read low ohm. milwaukee makes another same meter with lo-ohm reading feature but its not a clamp on. i will be returning this unit. will be getting a fluke. really love this meter. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use and professional grade I got the opportunity to use this for diagnosing the battery charge and starter draw on a car I am restoring . The meter worked flawlessly and I found it wasy to read. My friend is an electrician and I asked him to check it out and his feedback was that it was just as good as his fluke meter and cost a few bucks less. One drawback is that there is no case included and i can't find out which one will fit it correclty without trial and error. I also used this to check some of the circuits in my home and found it very easy to use. July 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! This is just what I needed! I have always wanted one of these but just never bought one, was always borrowing my brothers. No sooner did I get this and I had two issues I needed to check. My remote pool control panel stopped working and a breaker went bad in my kitchen. I was able to quickly figure out the problem was not the pool panel but just a wire had come loose. Saved me loads of money hiring an electrician or replacing the panel! Easy to use even for me...I am challenged when it comes to tools...lol July 10, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good for the price point I'm a maintenance engineer for a large production plant and in charge of all tool purchases, this is not the first time i've purchased or used an amp probe multimeter. milwaukee has really stepped up their game and diversified their market. they are not just power tools anymore. i would normally buy the brand that is synonymous with electrical tools but thought i'd give milwaukee a shot this time. it's not a bad tool for the price point, but i really wish i would have spent another twenty and gotten the brand i've been using for years. the probes have to be disconnected to use the amp clamp, but the unit doesn't come with a case, a cord wrap, or anything so i'm sure these leads are going to get left somewhere when i'm using the amperage feature. yeah, it's got an LED worklight, but nowadays what doesn't have a small LED? backlit screen, not really a selling point, if i'm somewhere that dark, i usually have work lamps. the body of the meter doesn't even have a holder for one of the leads so you can poke around and read the meter at the same time, and it hasn't got a magnet either... which is offered by their leading competitor in units half this price. so all in all, i'm going to give it a try, the amp probe seems a little buggy in it's readings when i can get one. this will probably get returned in exchange for the leading brand. good try milwaukee, you're close but you need a little refinement.
