The peg board and outlet are a nice additional feature we couldn't find on any other chest/cabinet combo!
The top ilid section is cavernous and at perfect height for my wife to use as well. I love this combo.

I bought the bottom piece to match the upper box. I'm very happy I bought this because of the price and the way it's designed. I don't believe that there's a better product for the price. Very good design.

When I first saw this chest (along with the bottom chest), it was love at first sight.
It has a flat coated paint finish with the Milwaukee logos on the outside and inside of the top lid. The lid stays up by the use of two piston arms.
The panels are constructed with heavy duty angle iron and do not flex like my other tool chests.
The listed weight capacity is 100 lbs per drawer. A neat feature is that the drawers will softly self-close when they are within about an inch of the closed position.
Rubber liners are provided for the drawers and top lid compartment---no need for a separate purchase. The liner to the top compartment has the Milwaukee logo embossed on it, a nice touch.
There are two key locks that work independently; that is, you can lock one or both of them. The keyed drawer on the right can be used to secure keys, cell phones or other small valuables without having to lock the whole top chest. Note: if you get the bottom chest, the key to the top chest may or may not work to the bottom chest as they are boxed separately. I've heard there is a way to change the locks so one key will work top and bottom chests.
One of the drawers has a flat metal top to place service/parts manuals or laptops on it. If you pull this drawer out completely, it will lock into place. Underneath the lid there is more storage.
There are no wide drawers for long tools or equipment (except for the one drawer on the bottom chest).
There is a power strip inside the top compartment that can be used to hook up battery chargers or power tools, although I have my Milwaukee chargers mounted in the provided mounts on the outside of the bottom chest. You might want to mount your electrical stuff on the inside under the lid if you have a lot of sawdust or the like in your work environment.
This chest is very heavy for one person, listed at 158 lbs. I enlisted the help of my neighbor and we got the top chest onto the bottom without too much difficulty. There are two heavy duty handles on each side.
There is a pegboard on the back surface inside the top compartment. I've mounted an Overbilt tool holder to keep frequently used essentials handy. I believe I got this at HD if you're interested.
There is a three year warranty. The only thing that I will keep an eye on is the power strip but other than that, this chest is a proverbial tank.
For $299, this top tool chest is a bargain. I can see why these chests sell out quickly (at least at my store). I recommend this for a homeowner/DIY'er like myself and I wouldn't be surprised that these are being used by some professionals out there.

I really liked this tool box except for one thing. The paint job was very poor. I took all of the drawers out in order make it lighter while moving it from my truck and setting it up. It was at this time I noticed the inside of the box was not painted and was already starting to rust. The bottom of the box was also not painted, but at least there was a coat of grey primer. The drawer glides were the best I have seen and the overall design was great, but the quality control of the painting was terrible. Guess I could have purchased a can of paint and repaired it but there was a large paint flaw on the front of one drawer so took the unit back for refund. Home depot was great during purchase and return.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Freak Great Value in an Upper Tool Box
I use in my work van, fits perfectly. Drawers have a nice auto close feature, but I still have to lock box from having them slide open. Very heavy duty strong construction. Really lie the power band. I use it for all my recharge able tools with a power inverter. Top prop struts work well. Not sure if I lie the matte paint finish, seems to be more difficult to keep clean. overall great top box for the money. Wish it had just two more drawers on the bottom.
