I have had a hole shooter drill for many years and the brushes finally wore out. I purchased a new one because they are so dependable. I have since repaired the old one, and so now I have two! The new one is made in China but to Milwaukee specs so its a very nice drill. I recommend it without reservation. The new one is used exclusively in the mixing of fudge. I just chuck up the beater and it does an excellent job! The side handle has an extension that must be used with the handle. It works very well for holding the drill steady.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 30 Years and STRONG! I have used this drill around the house, building furniture, rebuilding cars and trucks, fabricating steel, anchoring in concrete since 1985. Any time I need serious power while drilling. I do take good care of it and it has NEVER let me down. If I ever break it, I will buy another one just like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like a tank Incredibly sturdy. Excellent speed control. More than enough power (Use that side handle!). I've had mine about 10 years or so and have used it for just about everything on the farm at least once as well as more than a few large metal projects. Nothing stops it and nothing kills it. It is not the lightest drill around but I'll take the overall durability tradeoff anyday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good blend of power, performance & price I use this drill everyday - especially when I need to bore large holes through heavy stock. This drill has plenty of power to get the job done. My only wish is that it came with the 25' cord.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the one to rule them all This is the benchmark against all drills ever made. It is a solid heavy ultra rugged tool, with awesomely smooth speed control. Perfect for shop/industrial use. My drill came with a Jacobs chuck, need I say more. It can take anything you can throw at it. I bought mine over 23 years ago and it is still running like the first day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 32 years old. Runs like new. Shoots holes through 3' trees even. Bought mine in 1982 to drill up to 3/4" auger bore marine bits through huge trees. It likely drilled through a thousand feet of oaks, sometimes working 50' up. Never failed me. No repairs. I retired from constructing high events challenge courses; I now use it at home. Tonight's use was to back out 3" deck screws to replank a 15-year-old deck. It's variable-speed function is awesome too. I can just bump the trigger to crack a screw loose, bump & tap maybe 10 times, then use variable-slow to remove screws from 2x6s. My brother, a home builder, didn't think it would work and wanted to loan me his 18-V. My Milwaukee MHS worked better than a portable could have. It could break a wrist if used carelessly, so I'll use the side handle if there's possibility of hanging inside the wood. I expected them to be $200+ now, but today's cost is in line with what I bought mine for. "Best In Class."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same quality at always I have one of these already but I kinda of screwed up the chuck. It still works but you have to use the chuck key all the time. So I finally broke down an ordered another one, just like a little kid with a new toy. The drill is still the same and they added some length to the stabilizing bar which I think will maybe save your knuckles a little bit more. I love Milwaukee tools.... to say I am a toolaholic is an understatement but don't tell my wife

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The quality I've come to expect from Milwaukee!!! I got this tool to replace an old drill I'd had for 30+ years that finally gave out. The quality is great - chuck is very solid and the chuck key fits tightly and turns well. Trigger control is very sensitive. It's slightly awkward to balance but that's easily resolved with the detachable handle, which you really need on something with this power anyway. Great tool!
