What is the best saw blade for cutting a cast iron tub? Also should I be worried about cracking?

Asked by: Anonymous
If you are cutting cast iron tub to remove I would use a mall/hammer and break tub into smaller chunks for removal. To cut up a cast iron tube with a sawzall will be hard and take a lot of time/blades. Always wear safety glasses and gloves when handling broken cast iron. It can be very sharp, FYI

I did and they preformed and completed the job really well. I was cutting a 4' cast iron drain line in two. I had tried to use my cutter and they just crushed the pipe. Sawing was going to be the only way and usually this takes some time. Completed the job in less the half the time I was expecting. Will buy some more for stock on the truck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from About the "Torch" Needed a new blade to operate on some 40 year old brass plumbing fittings, the old metal cutting blade in my saw just wasn't up to the task. I purchased these blades, and they lived up to their claim, it was like a blow torch through butter. Easy to control for a precise cut.
