Could this cut through 1/4" plywood?

I just need to make a small hole (doesn't have to be pretty) so a cord can go through. The description says it's for drywall and plaster so not sure if it will work for 1/4" plywood (backing for a cabinet). Thanks.

Asked by: joe
I have used it for sheetrock, so I expect that plaster should not be a problem.

It started holes with ease and then cut through the sheetrock smoothly. I used it to install a couple dozen electrical boxes. Also used it to trim pieces of sheetrock to fit a few oddly shaped spaces. The molded handle is very comfortable. I have used a couple of inexpensive saws in the past but this saw is much better. A pleasure to use. I would highly recommend it.

Love it! the point on the blade makes it easy to start a cut without drilling a pilot hole. The teeth are well balanced, making it easy to do long straight cuts, and the tapered shape allowed me to do make near perfect 4" and 6" diameter holes in drywall. The handle fits well in the hand, and is comfortable to use. I highly recommend this saw if you do any drywall work!

Since we purchased this house we've made a multitude of changes and additions. All were construction, etc. . However, I decided to remodel the Kitchen, when I removed the original Box Light 1990's type fixture, I discovered the Fluorescent lights weren't run through a J-box, instead some genius had just poked a series of 1-2" holes in the ceiling, preventing me to use the regular Hole Saw with drill bit lead, so the Jab saw saved the day, I was able to make a circular hole on all 4 places enabling me to install 4 round J-box's to run wires through and mount the Track and drop lights over the Breakfast bar. It literally saved the day and now' job is done to code. Thank you Milwaukee for this small but valuable tool.

I've had wooden handle one then I had a black name brand one similar to this one but I lost it when I went to replace my black name brand one I saw this one for about $4 dollars less. It's a little smaller but the teeth cut great! Plus it fits in my tool bag better. I highly recommend it
