Can this be used to cut CPVC pipe?

will one of the 3 blades that come with the milwaukee folding jab saw cut ceramic tile

Asked by: Anonymous
No, the saw comes with only one Milwaukee 3/4" x 6" fine-tooth metal cutting blade. For ceramic tile, you probably have to use a carbide or diamond grit coated blade. You can buy circular diamond blades for Dremel type grinders, 4" angle grinders and even 7-1/4" circular saws, depending on how much tile you have to cut. These blades cut very fast and well, but dry cutting with them, they generate a huge amount of dust, so wear a respirator.

The package indicated by way of iconography that the saw could cut through metal, but the screw won the battle, I'm afraid.

I purchased this Milwaukee 6" Folding Jab Saw along with a reciprocating saw, because it holds any reciprocating saw blade with the universal bayonet mount used by most manufacturers, to get into tight places the power saw can't, and for small cuts that aren't worth getting the power saw out to do. It is light weight with a comfortable grip and it holds the saw blade firmly in place and folds a blade up to 6" long into the handle with the press of a button, for convenient storage and carrying. Likewise, press another button and the blade releases for easy blade changes. "Jab Saw" is a misnomer as most reciprocating saw blades only cut on the "pull stroke".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good innovation on an old tool Obviously the 1st thing that stands out for this product is the folding blade. No more holes in punches or bags because of your drywall saw. However there are a lot of these folding saws out there but here's where it stands out. There is a small recess in the handel that allows you to get a good grip on the blade. Yes not very impressive but after owning a lenox folding saw and having a bent blade get stuck which required 15 minutes to fight back open this is an amazing addition. Easy to change blades with a small lever on the side (like a sawzall) where you can slip any sawzall blade in. The handle feels quite solid and good to use. All and all a great little tool

I watched the 55 second video for this product before I went into a Home Depot Store to purchase it in store. In the short video here on Home Depot, the Black man says & advertises in the product video "That this tool also includes a metal, wood & a multipurpose blade for added customer value". That is totally false & I consider it false advertising because I just purchased this Milwaukee 6 in. Folding Jab Saw at my local Home Depot Store & found out that it in fact, does not come with 3 different blades for it!!! It only comes with one blade & that blade is the (metal cutting blade). Do not be fooled by this product as for it does not come with 3 blades! Home Depot needs to take down that video from their website for this product because it misleading & false advertizing. I really & truly expected this to come with & have the 3 different blades as advertized in the video here on Home Depot.

This saw it's perfect for many different jobs, it use a single space in my back pack which I carry with me at all times, I'm electrician, I need a saw for many task, sometimes you just can't use a electric saw, this one can handle the job just fine, I use this saw when I need to cut an old screw from some fixtures without damaging the fixtures or walls, it work justo fine for me, cuting pipes, to finish what my circular saw couldn't ant the electric saw don't fit. Low price.

This is possibly the best. I haven't owned it long enough to know how long it will last (about a month), but as an electrician, I use these tools a lot and this works well. The blade-changing mechanism is simple, the blades seem pretty secure and the folding mechanism is good too. I like that it is shaped well; it feels good in my hand. In addition, it is slimmer than the Lenox version, so it it easier to store in my tool pouch. I would definitely recommend it. Other recommendations: Don't buy the Greenlee version. It's plastic, too long, and a pain to adjust. The Lenox should be awesome since it is all-metal construction. The big problem is that it has 1 little metal "stub" which helps to hold the blade in place and that always wear out after a year or less. It is bigger than the Milwaukee, but it doesn't feel as good in my hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile saw I'm an electrician and sometimes it's hard to reach EMT and even harder to cut it in hard to reach places where my sawzall really can't get to. So I purchased this tool and it has paid off multiple time with being able to switch the types of blades and being able to reach hard spots where with my sawzall it would have been impossible. I would suffggest this tool to my colleges and family.

I like the folding blade feature and the fact that it uses standard blades that I use in my Sawzall. It gives me the flexibility to use wood, metal, short and long blades to meet the need of a specific project. Handle is easy to grip. I bought two of these and gave one to my son as he wanted to borrow mine. Highly recommend this tool.
