Answer:
We recommend either the 6” Diamond Grit Torch blade (48-00-1440) or 9” (48-00-1450) depending on the size of the cast iron.
6” is best for a 0” – 3” cast
9” is best for a 3” – 6" cast

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by outstanding cutting blades the blades cut thru both metal and wood with ease. they actually exceeded my expectations of what they should do. made a difficult job simple. July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Multi useful I have a bunch of oak trees that are less than 3 inches in diameter that need taking down. Using a chain saw on them is hard on my arms (holding the chain saw at the flat to the ground angle) so I use a reciprocating saw which is lighter and easier for me to handle. I tried using wood blades and the oak trees just eat them like candy. I tried the longer metal blades and they vibrate badly. These 6 inch blades are just slightly longer than the trees are in diameter and that has cut the vibration down tremendously. Not that I don't have metal that I need to cut also. I have some gutter downspout that needs repaired and will use these to cut it to the right size. They come in a nice case so that after opened, they don't slide all over the drawer or wherever you store them. August 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good solid blades These blades are superior to others I have tried. They last much longer and cut through rebar quickly. August 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value These 6 in. 24 TPI in. Metal Thin Kerf Reciprocating Saw Blades are a double duty upgrade from the old blades. We use them for cutting bolts, screws, sheet metal, copper pipe, conduit, rebar, and every now and then to take out a wall. Most of the time it is in tight places. The breakage and bending has been far less with these blades. Cuts are smoother and more accurate. The packaging is great in the 5, 10, and 25 pack with strong plastic case. July 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cuts like butter Nothing I can't cut. I do alot of scrap metal runs for clients and I never know what they will have for me. So I always buy Milwaukee saw saw blades they seem to last way longer than any other brand and are worth the few more bucks. July 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Long Lasting These blades lasted longer than your average blades. I am using them on a project replacing 1000 square feet of deck board. Over a third of the screws remain intact, so I have used the blades to cut deck screws as well as deck board. The 10 pack case is convenient for storage of the blades. I would recommend using these blades for any multi-use projects. July 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Sawzall always has quality blades. They last longer than other brands June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent saw blade Thin kerf, had the opportunity to demo a bottom front of a shed out building.damaged by ants. The Milwaukee seawall blade is 6 inch 18 tpi 1/8 - 5/16. The blade went right thru the flooring and support moved right along cutting the various types of nails with impressive ease using a battery powered saw. impressed enough that I got a corded saw and a another brand blade same length and tpi. Yep went back to the battery and original Milwaukee blade for the remainder of the task. You need a 5 or 10 pk for your work bench June 28, 2016
