Answer:
It will work out of 1 gal cans. However, once the paint level gets down to the mesh filter you can no longer spray. (several ounces of paint will still be in the bottom of the can). If you know you are going to use more than 1 gallon it is best to transfer the paint/stain to a larger bucket.

Answer:
Yes. You can use oil-based paint with the M4910-10 Milwaukee® Airless Paint Sprayer. Please note, you cannot use textured paint with this sprayer. We recommend a non-flammable paint thinner to clean the oil-based paint from the sprayer.

Airless Paint Sprayer is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use We bought this when we were remodeling a room for priming everything at once, worked great and super fast and easy. We even used it to paint the room afterwards. Clean up is simple just run water through it then use the packet of stuff when your done. I was a bit more picky on clean up but I plan and will use this for many years. I would plan on buying more paint than you need simply because it does use a bit to fill the hose when priming, but you also pump it back in can when your done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price, but don't use the tip. So I decided to move down from a wheeled sprayer to one I can carry about. This is just for use around the house. This is replacing a Wagner Dual Stoke that I had for like 10 years that was great. I average about 40 gallons a year on various projects. For the price, this sprayer seems sturdy, controls are solid, and everything is easy to use where it is located. Although this is 1/2 HP, it works harder for sure than the 3/8 HP Wagner I had. This sprayer is single stroke pump. It handled unthinned latex ceiling paint well enough. Whatever you do, test spray with the included tip before jumping into your whole project. My tip was a piece of junk and put out like three heavy lines in the fan pattern. I would have run to HD to pick up a Graco tip but I was rushed on today's project. The hose that comes with the sprayer is one of the stiffer ones. I am using my better quality hose that I had from before. Kudos to Milwaukee for including two matched "wrenches" to be able to connect and disconnect things without having your toolbag around. Kinda curious why they supplied those but not one that would fit the tip housing ?? I really like the rubber grip on the gun. It cleaned up surprising well...wonder why Graco and Titan don't do some like it. It comes with some powder to mix into a solution to run through the pump at the end of cleaning. I prefer running a little lubricant through. I think that is why my Wagner lasted so long. Also, there is no place to oil this pump...makes me a little nervous. I will probably reach out to their customer support for some advice on that. Overall I am happy with it. Just don't expect it to spray like a 400 or 500 dollar sprayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Like a charm!! I bought this sprayer to paint the exterior of my house, I could not believe how easy and fast it was. This sprayer is a dream come true. Just put the pick up in the larger hole of the 5 gallon paint bucket and spray. Cleanup was a breeze too. BUY THIS SPRAYER, IT'S A MILWAUKEE YOU CAN'T GO WRONG, ESPECIALLY WITH A 2 YEAR WARRANTY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sprayer..... Purchased this sprayer after I was disappointed with my first sprayer purchase. Great item. I finish a 2 bedroom apt. Aprox. 600 square feet in an hour and a half.....excellent purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solidly built, performs as claimed. I have minimal experience with paint spraying mainly because I have been reluctant to purchase one due to the poor reviews on homeowner level sprayers. This machine performed very well for me on the first project and allowed me to complete a multi-day tedious brush job with solid stain in a few hours - including taping/prep. That alone was worth the price. Clean-up was straightforward and easy. The machine seems to have the expected sturdy Milwaukee construction so hopefully it will be durable and long lived. Note the 2 year warranty versus the competition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool !! I am a General Contractor and very picky with my work. This tool works great. stick the paint tube in paint, switch lever to prime, leave it running on prime for about a minute and its ready to paint. I painted a 16' x 32' ceiling in about 20 minutes and another day i painted the walls in about 20 minutes. keep your hands moving fast to avoid runs. I would give this tool an A+ rating. works as good as any other brand. I will also be buying the wheeled model of this version because it makes for easier clean up and transport. Be sure to clean the entire system before paint dries and use cleaner or lube such as Graco pump armor after every use to prevent rust and damage..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No down side here. Buy this sprayer! I just painted a 12 x 12 room in under 20 mins. From popping the top off the can to walking out the door all cleaned up. And that was a first time using & cleaning it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good sprayer for the money We are homeowners who bought this sprayer, but it gets used a lot because we own several acres and need it to paint a shop building, a barn, wood house and 4-board horse fence. We have already used it several times and it works well. We had an issue in the beginning with it globbing the paint, but we purchased a larger spray tip than the one it came with and it made all the difference in the world. Easy to clean up too. Just hook the garden hose to the sprayer and run it till it sprays clean.
