FASTBACK Utility Knife (2-Pack) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it,BUT... I love this knife, but after a while the blade holder, which is plastic, wears and the blade won't stay in. The button that keeps the blade in needs to be steel, not plastic. I still give it 4 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from flimsy belt clip for heavy duty knife I really like the ease of opening. It is comfortable in you pocket. Gotten to the point I don't feel it anymore. Really like the design of the finger holds. Allows you to cut tough materials without losing grip. My only complaint is that the wire belt clip bends easily if it gets caught on something. Being in construction I am climbing on and in between things all the time. I have had the belt clip get caught multiple times and bend. Finally it broke. The other knives I own usually come out of my pocket if they get caught without bending the belt clip. If this knife had a stronger belt clip it would get five stars. What is worse is that the package says lifetime guarantee but you have to send it to a warranty center which will cost more than what a new one costs. If you order a clip it is a $1.90 for the clip plus $5 service fee plus shipping- really?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best utility knife I have ver used! I have been an electrician for 15+ years, as well as an avid DIYer, and outdoor enthusiast and have not found a better knife. It is handy, ergonomic, quick to open with the flick of a wrist. One of the best features and also its worst is the belt clip. The clip is fairly large making it easy to put the knife in your pocket, and unlike many others DOES NOT tear up my pants. Downside is that it is easy to catch on things, bending it and after about a year in my case, finally broke from fatigue. I truly wish Milwaukee would add an extra clip to the pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Utility knife I''ve used to date I search for quality & craftsmanship in almost all products I buy, rarely do I write reviews unless I feel a product truly deserves it. I'm a cabinet installer, I've tried most knives available and use them for altering and carving panels, shimms, stock, trim, moldings etc.. This knife fills the niche wonderfully, best precision and control I've seen, when I'm up on the step ladder setting my cabinets I can operate it w/ one hand unlike other knives. Also, I prefer this model over the Fastback2 because it's thinner, and I can wield it w/ more precision for those fine cuts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fastback utility knife by Milwaukee tool I'm an apprentice electrician. I use the knife all the time. It's one of those tools you always have on you. I've had mine for over a year and a half now so I guess it doesn't really owe me anything but I've had the screws fall out on me a couple of times. This time one is gone for good. The knife itself works great, however the screws are a pain as they loosen with use and when loose prevent the knife from closing smoothly. If it came with a package of extra screws it would be wonderful. Definitely using lock tight on my next fastback knife.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blade falls out Initally I liked the knive and enjoyed the quick open function. However, having only owned this for a few months and exchanged 2-3 blades I find it failing. I have just installed a new (sharp) blade and find I can't even slice up a cardboard sheet. As I cut the blade pulls out of the knife. I presumed it may be dirty so I disassembled the section that holds the blade - swapped the spring still - and reassembled the knife. Same problem!! A knife is worthless if the blade never stays. I didn't buy this because it looks cool. I bought it for function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best utility knife ever. I've had this knife for several years and I use it every day while working. Ocasionally the screws for the part that holds the blade need to be tightened or even the pivot screw, but I use mine every day, so that can be expected. The bright red color is a nice touch as it makes it easy to find quickly when I forget to put it back into my pocket. This is a great knife that is built to last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great work knife I use this at work on a daily basis. I've enjoyed the ergonomic shape and easy changing of blades. I flip it open dozens of times a night at work and its been great. I think the blade change is the best feature. A lot of expensive DeWalt and Lenox knives are a pain to load a blade in, this knife takes about 3 seconds to do it safely and it locks in nicely. The only problem I've encountered is the lint from my pocket clogs the opening bearing. Even after oiling it still has to be opened by hand now. But it lasted over a year before that cloged. The knife is still excellent.
