Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by erikw777 Clip works great as a pocket clip, no problems. Bounce-back on open is annoying.
Bought this knife a couple months ago, and I still can't open it cleanly 100% of the time: the blade bounces back about half the time when opening one-handed. The button has to be released precisely when lock is engages. Mess up the timing, and the blade swings back.
The clip works great in the pocket, not on belt.
Weight of knife is a bit heavy. I am considering grinding off some of the excess die-cast material from the handle to slim it down and lighten it up. Will post before & after pics if I do.
Can't beat the super-solid quality overall. Heavy and sturdy, feels solid in hand.
The finger notch works great and gives confidence: no slipping even if wet or slimy.
String cutter feature is cool and actually useful.
Wire stripper works well but keeping fingers away from the blade means you want to use it only for one-off or emergency situations, not everyday wire stripping.
I like this knife. I am still working on deploying it cleanly every time (and closing it without the bounce-back issue too!).
I have cut a lot of cardboard and heavy rubber material with NO issues of the blade coming out. That would be a deal breaker, but this one keeps its blade, no problem.
The extra blade holder is a little bit cutesie and adds a lot of width to the body of the knife. Seems a bit than necessary, or could hold 2 - 3 blades in the same amount of space.
A slimmer, lighter version that is still solid and opens & closes without bouncing back would be great. Hopefully Milwaukee designers are already planning revisions for the Fastback III.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OA Great all round purchase and highly recommended
First of all I always appreciate a great looking piece of gear and for just shy of 15 bucks, this is probably the best looking tool box staple that you can get for the money. Next, I can't praise enough how smooth and easy to use the one handed opening and closing mechanism is. I hate using those thumb slides on retractable knives. They make a utility knife seem like a piece of stationary more at home in a child's pencil case or something my grandmother would keep in her sewing kit rather than a versatile tool found in an avid DIY'ers tool box. I have used mine regularly for the past 4 months, mostly for breaking up cardboard boxes for recycling but also for other varied tasks like trimming banana trees, cutting vinyl drawer liners to size and cutting garden hose. Haven't opened it up yet to clean and/or lubricate because everything still works like a well oiled machine but seems enough to do when the need arises. Rounding off the list of features is the convenient on board blade storage (albeit for one blade only) and the gut hook which I haven't used yet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Flyboy This is the best utility knife I've ever
Needs different belt clip design. I've used a lot of different utility knives, and this has been the best, it just has a weak belt clip.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYGUY Great Knife for homeowner
I purchased this after returning another utility knife that broke after 3 days of use. I have enjoyed using this knife so much. The folding locking blade is very nice and easy to understand. The handle is nice and sturdy and feels good and natural holding it in my hand. Swapping blades out is a breeze and both the blade being stored and the blade being used stay well secured. Very user friendly. My wife uses this on some of her craft projects and loves it. I would recommend this knife to any homeowner who needs a utility knife for around the house projects, it makes those household honey do's a breeze. I have not used the gut part of the knife so I can't review that part. I dinged the value of it because I think it could probably drop in price between 10-12 dollars and they would sell a whole lot more.

I lost my first flip knife from Milwaukee. It was made of heavier duty material but didn't have blade storage which was always a pain so this is a big improvement. The only thing is that it's a little thicker than my old one but I adjusted easily to that difference.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ramon for now everything is more or less well
the clip on the belt malfunctioned and it has very little storage space for blades and if you open it with one hand closes again, and that is dangerous you can cut yourself.
Although it has its advantages; at least have a place to store at leas one blade, for that reason I decided to buy. because it has place to store blade.
