Answer:
A lot of consideration went into determining whether or not to include a protective case. We found that users didn't necessarily want a protective case because they typically had one, or they had an alternative way of carrying the meter.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love it As a hvac technician I wouldn't have any other meter! February 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not for winter I purchased solely on credivility of milwaukee brand. I own a hvac company, I use it on every call, and during the cold winter the display freezes and needs to be warmed up for like 20 minutes for it to work. It's less than a year old and it just died completely. March 9, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not reliable Chose this for features for use at work. Noticed temperature was not right, compared to two other devices - the other two matched each other - this was off by more than 4 degrees. Purchased new probe, also way off and very, very slow for temperature readings. New probe banana connections very loose also. Can not trust this meter. October 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by execellentqualityvalue for money this ism one of the best around it works fine on all scales a very compact portable unit March 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This is an absolutely great product if you are working with both AC and DC control voltages. The best feature and selling point of this meter is that is reads both AC and DC on one setting. May 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Meter Bought this online and was delivered on time....been using it at work for a few days now....just amazing....compared to a high priced competitor....this meter has it all.....I work in the heating/combustion trade and see a lot of dark places....the white on black screen is wonderful(for us old guys still in the trade)....you see your readings in any condition....plus its TRMS....40 Megs....Cat IV....DC MicroAmps....Temperature probe is dead on.... the buzzer on the continuity is LOUD(most meters are not)....great for places that are noisy(around pumps and motors)...even the little worklight is handy.....fits great in your hand and in your pocket.....test leads are ordinary but there is a lead holder behind the meter so you don't need 3 hands....2 thumbs up for Milwaukee....can't wait to buy more of their instruments when they become available .....2 thumbs up for Home Depot for the great service.
