No battery is included but it accepts everything from 12v up to the 24v. I bought the m12 screw driver kit just for the batteries and charger to power the radio. So for 200 bucks I got 2 lithium batteries, a radio, powered screw driver and a m12 lithium charger.

Answer:
If your device has a standard (1/8") headphone jack, you can plug this into it. Bare in mind it has a really short cord- enough to reach what ever surface it's sitting on, so it will be right next to your device. I think they make 1/8" extension cords but they may be several feet long and perhaps impractical.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The cons Sterio don't charge batteries any of the 3, USB won't charge unless plugged inn to 120 circuit. , that's all Owe antenna is well below ave. August 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by loud.solid.reliable signal this is the best radio I've ever had. well worth the 100$ August 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great radio. Not a charger, but I don't care. My wife bought this radio for me, to use in my garage. I use this radio every time I hang out in my garage. I used a 3.5mm extension cable to extend an input for my Zune (yeah, I use a Zune). The radio will run on battery power, but will not charge batteries like the DeWalt radio. I have two chargers for my M18 batteries, so charging with the radio is unnecessary to me. The radio is tough, and built very well. The compartment that holds phone/mp3 player has a USB port and 3.5mm input inside. This compartment is large enough to hold just about any pocket-sized device. February 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stereo for outdoor use The radio is loud and has good quality sound. The interior compartment door is weatherstripped and tight. The compartment holds the batteries and your MP3 player. There is a USB charging port for when your plugged in. It will keep your player/cell phone charged while listening. The problem I have with mine is the red color on some of the panels turned almost salmon or pink color from the sun. Clearly UV fading is an issue. This happened within a couple of weeks from purchase. Otherwise I would have given this item a 5 star rating... July 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Radio Of all the jobsite radios I have owned over the years, this one is hands down the best! Long run time with the larger M12 batteries. If you own Milwaukee tools, you have to have this radio! March 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase My Milwaukee job site radio has been a great investment so far. I bring the radio with me everywhere. It is great to have around whether I am working or partying! It is really loud and produces a high quality sound. It is really convenient that the radio uses the same batteries as my Milwaukee drill/driver set. The only thing that disappoints me about the radio is I wish the USB port would work when the radio was being powered by the batteries. Other than that I love this radio. July 30, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't charge m18 battery I really like this radio. However it has never been able to charge my m18 batteries.(which is the main reason I bought this radio.) August 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good radio Sounds very good for work environment, still lose signal in certain places on job site-but were in building and would probably be ok everywhere else. Overall everyone likes it. March 12, 2016
