I was pleased that these nut drivers worked well with 6 point fasteners. They can work with any point fastener from 4 to 12 which makes them very versatile. In addition the shaft is hollow so you can screw in a nut over a protruding bolt which you cannot do with most nut drivers. I recently used them to disassemble the door panel on my car and it worked very well.

This set is good but for your everyday electricians you should buy the larger set. This is a great basic set.

I'd been eyeing this set for a couple of weeks and then went ahead and bought it with a 10% off coupon. I was using them to drive hex nuts, and they kept slipping. I found myself wondering whether I'd chosen the right size or if the nuts I was driving were metric. Neither was the case. I ended up using the nut driver attachment that came with a socket wrench set. The case advertises the ability to use a wrench on the shaft of the tool itself to make extra tight connections or loosen them. Let me assure you that this tool's hold on the nuts is nowhere near tight enough to attempt this. I realize that the design allows driving several shapes of nuts, but the hex nut operation is sub par. That being said, I really do like the look and idea of these tools, but in the end I found them not useful. A 1/2" driver would also be recommended.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by matt why half a set?
I am an entry-level electrician and thought this would be great for conduit installation. The concept is nice but I found I needed a full set of sizes and this is limited to a few regularly used sizes. The other problem is due to the universal design for multiple fasteners (which attracted me to the set), the driver tends to slip. Normal drivers that don't slip 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16 with that long hollow shaft, and I think we would have a 5 star

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mikkel1955 Comfortable grip.
I was a bit skeptical about how the design to handle 4 head styles was going to work out. I am used to nut drivers designed for hex heads. But the nut drivers firmly gripped all the nuts I tried them on. I did not have any brass or coper nuts in anything but hex heads, so I do not know how well they will handle other soft metal heads. I suspect that you could round off square heads, especially if you use a wrench on the nut driver.
I do not find the square shanks all the useful. My feeling has always been that if you need more power then you can apply by hand, you should be using a socket set or a wrench directly. But other people feel differently.
The cushioned grips are comfortable, and the ribs insure you get a good grip. These nut drivers are designed to be use out in the field, where your hands may not be the cleanest...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ih82spd awesome set for MEP personel
As a low voltage installer who deals with all thread on a regular basis, this set is awesome with the hollow shaft for threading nuts onto all thread. I know the sizes it comes with, but I think this would have been a much better set if they included a 1/2" as well. Don't get me wrong, I find this set very useful and have no complaints with what came in the set, I just think if they added a 1/2" it would complete this set even more.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Alleycat Tries to do too much to be practical
This, to me, is an example of a tool set that tries to do too much. I have used it for driving hex head sheet metal screws of various head sizes, finding that it often did not work because there are too many notches inside the driver receivers to firmly grip the hex heads firmly. I ended up using hex head sockets instead.
