Having ordered the large kit I was a little concerned as to the fit as I am 6` with 42" chest. I needn't have as it fits perfect with room to spare.
The battery fits snugly in the inside pocket with the heating on\off control on the left side of the outside of the jacket. Initially you do feel the battery on your lower back but after a few minutes of walking around, I didn't know it was even there. I think a lot of thought went into the position of it and they have done well in finding the right spot where it does not become a burden to the wearer. The control has three settings. Red for high heat, white for medium and blue for low. Press the button and hold it down for a few seconds to activate. Then a quick press instantly changes the heat setting. Again for switching it off press and hold for a few seconds until the light goes off. This is a good idea as it stops the heater from turning on accidentally.
I wore the jacket up in North Vermont, and although it is only the end of August, it was wet and cold. As soon as I switched the heater on I could feel a soft glow instantly down my back and within a couple of minutes, I switched the heater down to white (med heat) and set off in the woods. Being an avid photographer in his late 60's, I feel the cold and could no longer lie still for too long in the woods hoping a bear may suddenly appear in my lens, so that I could move again. But this jacket with a medium heat setting kept me warm and comfortable for the four hours I was prone and when I returned to the cabin six hours later I was still warm, even through the cold wind and the constant rain that followed me back. The hood came in real handy against the wind. The jacket is well made and designed and is very comfortable to wear. The texture of the material used is very soft and feels good.
After a couple of days, I returned home and after the washer and dryer had finished with the jacket it still looked as good as new with no signs whatsoever of wear.
What I am looking for now is a pair of pants with a heater and I'm ready to go until my 80's

The Milwaukee M12 Cordless Heated Hoodie family would make a nice gift if you know someone who is cold all the time, the Hoodie is nice and roomie the sleeves are long the kit come with Hoodie a M12 battery and charger. The battery pack is located on the left rear of the jacket about the size of a flash light, you do get use to having there. My issue is the pocket that holds the battery wears out quickly in fact my has show wear in less than 2 weeks of wear! I contacted Milwaukee customer service they told me it sounded like wear and tear send it to them and they would inspect it for a deficiency, I sent the Hoodie back to them and it was replaced out of good faith. Here is the thing the new Hoodie was worn out in the same place, our cure was to put an iron on patch over the area. So unless Milwaukee changes the design I can not recommend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LosRubios Warmth of a much thicker jacket, lightweight and versatile
This is a great jacket for fall/winter use. I just returned from a trip to Europe and I took this with me. The jacket is lightweight enough to use for fall temperatures and the hood came in handy during England's typically rainy weather. When the temperature dropped into the 50's, I just switched the jacket onto low heat and the extra warmth was as if I was wearing a thicker jacket.
The jacket has three temperature settings that are easily controlled from a button on the front which is color coded red, blue and white according to the desired heat setting.
If it gets dirty, it is machine washable.
The one thing I was slightly concerned about was the battery location which is at the back in the area of the wearer's kidneys. With the battery in place, it was never pressed uncomfortably into my back while driving our 1 ton pick up truck or our 2 seater sports car. The battery weighs 8.6 ounces and is barely noticeable.
Since the hoodie also comes with an M12 battery charger and the M12 battery, it has everything you need.
I suspect I'll be finding my wife borrowing this as the winter sets in!

The Milwaukee M12 Lithium-Ion cordless Khaki heated Hoodie Kit, came with everything you need, battery , charger and jacket. the Hoodie is very roomie, the hood is large enough to cover a hard hat.
My issue with the kit is the jacket pocket that holds the battery, which is located in the rear left of the coat, the battery pack has worn a hole through the material? My fix for that was to put an iron on patch over the area and we are good to go. don't get me wrong this is a nice and toasty hoodie.

Great jacket, comfortable. My only problem with it is that i got my regular jacket size and i now have to wear extra shirts to allow it the heat to go to my body. Battery life is about 2 1/2 - 3 hours on high. Great buy for someone who works in the cold/refrigeration all day.

This heated sweater is a nice looking product, but in my opinion far overpriced. Usually I buy my hoodies for around $15. Ok I understand there are some heated pats in this one, but still...$99 bucks for a hoodie is a lot.

If you are a person who works out in the cold then this is for you. It keeps me very warm even on the coldest days. I am an Hvac tech and this is perfect because I'm inside then outside so I just turn it on and off without talking it off. Great product
