Answer:
Flashing red and green lights on our chargers is the charger telling you that the battery is defective or broken. Depending on when the battery was purchased and what type of battery it is, it may be covered by our manufacture warranty. Contact 1-800-SAWDUST for more details.

Large M12 Lithium-Ion Cordless Black MZ Heated Jacket Kit is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Built Heated Jacket This Milwaukee M12 Heated Jacket is very well constructed through and through, as in high quality. The fitting is about spot on, and since I wear a Medium, wearing lighter clothing underneath is best. Probably going 1 size up would be fine if you're using medium to heavy layering. The M12 runtimes I've observed are: On continuous HIGH (RED Light) = 2 hours 10 minutes On continuous MEDIUM (WHITE Light) = 3 hours 10 minutes On continuous LOW (BLUE Light) = 6 hours 30 minutes I have two M12 Red Lithiums that are fully charged each time I have the heat on. I think the M12 is about right for non-obstructive use within the pocket. I have the M18 Power Source and notice that it's a tad bit bulky though I've yet to see the runtimes with the M18 Red Lithium Battery. Overall, I'm VERY HAPPY and SATISFIED with this Milwaukee Heated Jacket and find that it does what it was designed for. Mind you, I live in the Pacific Northwest and in my neck of the woods I don't experience much "freezing" or "extreme" cold weather as in other areas of the USA. So for my particular uses, this jacket is well suited for the day's weather. Did I mention that I like this jacket that I've got two, one in Red and another in Black! The Hi-Viz Heated Jacket maybe in order!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket!! May purchase one for my wife! Product performs as described and is priced within 'reason' of what I would expect to pay for a product of this nature. I purchased with the intent to use for hunting, plowing snow, working outside and early/late season motorcycle riding. I considered the camo version but went with black for universal practicality in every day life. Now that I have experience using the product, I'll add a few comments and suggestions. First comment: With the exception of the camo jacket, the others have the illuminated heating element switches located on the outside of the jacket in the upper left chest area. I prefer the switch on the inside the jacket. More than once I was stopped by someone who noticed the illuminated buttons and asked me about the jacket. After a few unplanned stops, this can be a bit annoying if you are on a 'mission'. Also, the switch is located a bit high on the jacket. Anyone with a minor neck injury will struggle to rotate their neck sufficiently to change temp settings (color). Second comment: The USB port and cable routing tabs on the inside of the jacket is a VERY nice feature to charge my phone! Third comment: This jacket should be worn close to the skin for maximum performance. I suggest a moisture wicking base layer, this jacket, followed by your insulating layers. Doing so will yield the best performance at a lower temp setting. Lower temp setting equals longer run time. (H=2hrs, M=4hrs, L=6hrs) Fourth comment: The jacket is designed to almost unnoticably maintain your core temperature. It will not generate temperatures sufficient to ease a back pain. Also, there are NO heat elements in the sleeves nor will the jacket eliminate the need to use your winter parka during cold winter months. It will however replace the need to wear and/or carry extra insulating layers you often need when the sun disappears! Fifth comment: Replacing the battery pack while wearing the jacket is very difficult. For this reason, I intend to purchase the M12™ Heated Jacket 12v DC Plug Adapter P/N: (49-24-2301). Aside from using on the motorcycle and tractor, I 'believe' it would allow me to easily replace a dead battery with a fresh one stored in a backpack or easy access jacket pocket. This may not be convenient while you are actively working but it is invaluable when you are 20' high in a small platform tree stand! NOTE: I don't yet own this cable so I cannot confirm if my intentions are possible!! Sixth comment: I also purchased the M18™ Power Source P/N: (49-24-2371) so I could use the large capacity 18v Milwaukee battery packs I already own for my primary cordless tool collection. Doing so will yield significantly longer run times. The jacket battery pouch will accept the large 18v battery but you will feel like you have a big bulky boat anchor in your jacket! Again, the 12v DC plug adapter should come in handy in situations where I am stationary (Hunting, football game, etc..).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Warm! Got this last year and I've been wearing it in cold months to stay warm. Used it to stay warm in the tree stand this season. Also looks good....my wife has the breast cancer awareness version that also looks great on her! Keep in mind that the estimated battery life between charges is going to vary based on how cold it is where you are and which setting you have yours on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty cool I work for a distributor and I sell a ton of Milwaukee tools. I already had some M12 stuff at home and figured I would get the jacket too. The jacket is really warm even without turning it on. On days when it's really cold the heat is great, I especially like it when you get in a cold vehicle in the morning. The best thing about the jacket is the USB charger in the pocket. My phone is usually dead by the end of the day. The charger in the jacket charges fast! I've gotten a lot of comments and questions about the jacket, I think I will end up selling a bunch of these too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket Just another great Milwaukee product! Super comfortable. and warm without heat. The buttons that control the heated zones are easy to use, and get heated quickly. I just love this jacket!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great coat!! Very warm and cozy..... I really like this coat. It is really warm without the heat on! The inside of the coat is soft and cozy. Here in Oklahoma we get those nasty days where the wind just beats the cold into your bones, that is one reason why I bought this coat. The other was I already own a few of the M18 and M12 power tools so I already have batteries. The only reason I gave this coat 4 stars is Milwaukee does not offer Women's coats. My wife loves this coat with the new hand warmers! She is always colder than I am. Milwaukee needs to broaden the line with some different colors. Women would buy the heck out of these coats if there were pink, blue, white, and even a black one with Milwaukee pink stitching!! Seriously Milwaukee, think how many more batteries you would sell if women were wearing these coats. I would probably have to buy 10 more batteries for my wife!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Heated Jacket I love this jacket! My husband has a similar jacket by another brand and I figured that this would be pretty much the same but it has a few improvements that give the Milkwaukee jacket a definite edge. The heating component is easy to set up. Simply charge it and then pop it into the special pocket for it where you plug the jacket in. The battery is small enough that it's relatively unobtrusive visually and certainly not noticeable or uncomfortable for the wearer. I love that they have provided a spot for you to feed a USB cord through to the battery so you can charge a phone (or other device). Just a simple thing like that little spot to feed the cord so you can leave the phone in your pocket or on your belt makes all the difference in function. The actually heating function is great. Heats up quickly and you can choose one of three heat settings. If you're working while wearing this jacket it's easy to overheat if it's on full power so having a choice of settings is nice. Another great heating function is the option to just have the pocket section heated. I can imagine a lot of situations where I might not want my whole torso being heated but would be glad for a warm spot for my hands. The material is great because it's water resistant without being stiff or plastic-y. Another smart design decision is the lining. It's a soft fleece except around the underarms and into the sleeves so that you have the comfort of fleece except in the areas where you wouldn't want friction (who wants their shirt sleeves getting caught and pushed up when you put your jacket on?). There are lots of discrete pockets and an elastic toggle around the bottom if you really want to keep the cold out (and heat in!). Turning it on and cycling through the heat settings is simple. Just hold for a couple seconds the button on the outside of the jacket. It's clear to you when it's on or off but subtle enough that it's not announcing to everyone that you have a battery operated jacket on. I highly recommend this coat whether you're working outside in the cold, going to a lot of cold football games, standing at the bus stop in the winter, etc. As a woman I felt a little silly getting this but hey, it's cold when I'm with the kids at the bus stop and at outdoor sporting events so I'll happily wear this! I am an average to slim woman and got a large. It's definitely pretty big on me but I plan on using it over sweaters and sweatshirts. However, I think a medium (or maybe even a small) would give a more tailored look. Generally I'd say it runs about the size you'd expect a large sized man's jacket to run. And the black and gray is pretty classic, looks like any outdoor/sporty winter coat and the branding is pretty minimal and subtle so no complaints there.
