Can I remove tile grout to replace a couple tiles with this tool?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes if you buy a grout removing blade, which come in different thicknesses. This tool can use both Bosch & Dremel blades without using the supplied adapter for a nice tight fit to the tool. Also helpful to know that the blade can be attached at 5 different angles which is great for getting into tight spaces. It will install to the left, 45 to the left, straight up, 45 to the right & right, (with the supplied adapter it can only be used left, straight and to the right.) This I found nice as I was able to use more of the blades surface for the rounded blades and also cut better without the tool being at a weird angle while working, it's also able to get into tight areas with the different angles.

Use on brick

Can I use this to drill holes into exterior brick?
Asked by: Tosagirl
Yes, you can make smaller-diameter holes in brick with the appropriate bit. The manual says that it has a maximum hole diameter capacity of 3/8" in masonry.

M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8 in. Ratchet (Tool-Only) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 274.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from best purchase ever this drill/impact is amazing. i use this as an electrician. rather than have the extra weight of 18v on my tool belt i use these. self tapping screws no problem, half inch knock out on a panel no problem, installing one hole straps, mini's, they handle with a breeze. plenty of power. they feel to be made heavy duty. i will be buying more m12 tools for sure.

I was only in market for the impact driver but ended up picking up the set just before the holidays. I figured instead of paying $150 for just the impact driver, for $200 I was able to get this set (with the 4.0 battery) plus a 3rd tool for the extra $50. I love the impact driver for the size and what it can do. The hammer drill is really nice, a bit large for a 12v (almost the same size as my DeWalt 791). Can't go wrong with the set

I wanted the M18 version of this but none of the local stores carried it so I wound up getting this after seeing the specs indicate you can drill a 1" hole in wood with a spade bit. I tested it out with some Bosch Daredevil spade bits. The 1" bit bogged down a bit and it took multiple attempts of reversing and starting over to get the hole through. The 3/4" daredevil bit went through each time. I don't think I'd recommend purchasing this tool if you primarily intend to use it bore holes in framing. That's what the Milwaukee Hole Hawg is for. This is a nice right angle drill to use in tight spaces for driving screws with the occasional use of boring larger holes. I purchased a right angle adapter for a regular drill but that was garbage that stripped gears after the first or second hole. This works a lot better than that but it's not what you'd want to use to rough in a hole house. If you don't mind the wait of ordering the M18 version of this has more torque. I wound up getting this because it was in stock, I have M12 batteries and it should suit my needs. I'm running some communications cables and I have a larger Milwaukee cordless right angle drill to bore the larger main holes but I needed something small and light that could get into tight spaces so I can drill down through the top plate with a 1/2" or 5/8" bit to feed the wires down to the wall plate. This is working fine for that. The LED work light is very important and illuminates the drilling area well. I really like how it flashes red when it clutches out instead of turning with the clutch disengaged and making that annoying noise. It's a good right angle drill but I think the owner's manual is a little optimistic when it claims it can do 1" holes with a spade bit. 3/4" went fine.

The Bosch and Dremel blades will work with this Milwaulkee M12 multi-tool head & also with the supplied adapter that comes with the multi tool....but I found putting the blade directly on the tools head is a tighter fit. also....when using the head you can put the blade on at 5 different angles to the tool, left, 45 to the left, straight up, 45 to the right & right, (with the supplied adapter it can only be used left, straight and to the right.) This I found nice as I was able to use more of the blades surface without the tool being at a weird angle while working, it's also able to get into tight areas with the different angles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from M12 Drill & Ratcet Purchased the m12 drill as a replacement for the m18 drill that had a sticky/stuck chuck. M12 drill is smaller which I like but not as powerful as the m18. I would say the m12 is good for light to medium duty but only with a 3/8" chuck (vs. 1/2" on the m18). Not sure about the chuck issue and this remains a quality concern. If it wasn't for the fact that all my other power hand tools are Milwalkee, I would switch to another brand. Regarding the 3/8" ratchet, I've used it a couple times to remove bolts and does fine but have not tried on bolts with high torque (only rated at 35 ft lbs).

Worked great for drilling but when I dialed the clutch down for driving a screw the clutch did not work. Even on the number 2 setting the chuck turned at full torque. I figured it was defective so I took the tool back to the store along with my fully charged battery to find a drill with a working clutch. No luck with every drill on the shelf. All of them had non existent clutches. Very disappointing because I have several M12 tools that I really like and it would have been great to have a right angle drill in my set.
